  • I've been watching her videos for a very long time. She's so beautiful and talented.

  • I've always been intrigued by the way makeup and fashion changes over the eras, and I absolutely love these different era looks! Thank you so much! Also, I'm always amazed at the variety of looks that are actually really flattering on you. That's just my humble opinion, of course.

  • Same you as so beautiful. Or as you would say, the most beautiful woman that ever there was. ;] x

  • I was led to believe they do get paid after a certain amount of views?

  • Beautiful! <3 :O

  • I think this is one of my favourite videos of yours. Love that 80's look!

  • I wonder who knows more, Pixiwoo or Panacea81 ( Lauren Luke ). Not talking about a beauty comparison , just a knowledge comparison. I believe Lauren could easily get work in Hollywood as a make-up artist on movie sets.

  • @undergroundbasement it's obvious that pixiwoo are more makeup educated than Lauren. Lauren's charme lives in her freshness and easy tutorials. Pixiwoo's are usually much more complex, professional and difficult to achive.

  • You have such a gentle voice. It's quite soothing. hehe

  • Please remind the audience that it doesn't work on people with little to no eyelid. Having a great shape to your eye makes all the difference. Oh well.

  • Get the no. of the lorrie that hit you in the face.

  • @faffaflunkie don't hate because your life's meaningless.

  • ohh soooo hot......

  • Your tutorials are outstanding! I used your Twiggy one last Halloween and I'll be using this one this year! Honestly, what I love it that you've pinpointed the crucial details in a subtle way, rather than cliche sharp lines which I typically see in tutorials. Big fan. :) Do you have an everyday 70s makeup one?

  • love this

  • you should do a wearable 70's everyday makeup look ! :)

  • what du u think about the bobbi brown foundation stick ?

  • You don't even need makeup....you're beautiful anyway! Love your videos...they've been very helpful! xx

  • wow, the one big problem with human beings is that we hate so much, and we always hate, but at the same time we complain and say that there's too much hatered in this world.

can't you see what you're doing? you're bringing someone down just beacuse you're a bunch of miserable persons.

what makes you think that you have any right to do that?

i can seriously say that this is why we will never get world peace.

  • wow. lot of trolling on this video - haters gonna hate!

keep up the good work Sam and Nic!

  • If you really want to look like Debbie Harry (Blondie) from the 70's you need a Heroin needle in your arm and a huge dick in your mouth.

  • I remember applying much makeup this way back in the day, particularly the eye makeup. Very 80's .... and very accurate. :) Your videos show that you've done a great deal of research in trying to replicate the makeup styles of your subjects (not only the palette, but the actual technique), and that is no easy feat. Great job!

  • @XxXRammsteinxRoXxXxX STFU! why the hell do you even comment?? no asked you if you liked it or not... this is here for people who appreciate the time and effort Nic and Sam put in to these vids.. if you dont like them ... fuck off... without the bitchy comments. Please dont waste my time by relpying to me in any way.

  • The first shot reminds me of Sophie Ellis Bextor

  • I have seen nearly all of your video Sam, and this look it one of my very favorites. Of course, I am bias, being a child of the eighties myself (I am 48), and a HUGE Debbie Harry fan. I would wear this look even today. I think is in style again, or maybe I am just hoplessly stuck in a timeewarp! Thanks Sam for all your awesome videos. THIS LOOK ROCKS! And so do you.

  • Average girl uses makeup to look slightly above average! Yes! Stop the presses!

  • This girl has a nice bone-structure to start with and deep-set eyes like Debbie Harry, so that helps, but she does a nice job with the makeup too.

  • omg... no wonder my girl needs an hour to get out of the houss =) seriously u really think 15 layers of color's gonna make more attractive??

  • Whois on dah poster behind her? ;)

  • Please... just remove this crapture from suggestiosn related to Blondie or Deb Harry... Geez :/

  • I don't see any vaginas; this doesn't make sense.

  • Very good, i say, and i'm a guy who just clicked the link. Very DHish.

  • I LOVE that look! Bring it back!

  • Have you and your sister ever thought about starting your own makeup school? I think that you two could have the best makeup school around!

  • You look so much like Debbie Harry with that make up on. MIND BLOWN.

  • Ah, to be young again and be able to wear that much makeup! I remember it well! Great job!

  • i luv debbie harry, she was the ultimate rockchick in my eyes

  • u r so LUCKY!!!!! cant believe u met debbie harry im so jelous i hope i will one day

    shes my idol

and u have really captivated the look briliant tutorial^^

  • you're such a chameleon!

  • i think debbie was more into dark eyeliners on the extremes of the eyes (not very much in the middle-- pardon my english, i actually speak spanish), but of course she could use other things, and i agree, that era was very much about colours. but what i mean is, in the particular case of debbie, i think she was more into a punk look, very black eyes. and another thing: tons of sticky gloss on the lips..

you really saw her and chatted with her? oh my, lucky you.

  • @anitasseo Yeah, I agree, Debbie occasionally wore purplish or blue-hued eyeshadows but for the most part it was dark grey eyeshadow and liner. I think that's why Debbie never looked trashy or clownish when she emphasised both her lips and eyes; her lip colour was always a subdued red/pink and her eye makeup was never dark black.

  • the 80s were very much about orangy reds.

  • I think your videos are the only videos besides music videos that I can watch to the end. You're amazing!

  • your giving away every drag queens secret here darlin

  • I feel like people from Europe have like super duper pigmented eye area it almost looks like they are wearing eyeshadow. For some reason i've always been jealous of that. Idky why!

  • Terrific how this is sexy, just in the good way. Thanx !

  • Interesting and nicely applied. A totally different Debby Harry at makeupfirstschool.

  • Just more reason as to why I love the 80s

  • thank uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!

  • The 80s was all about clashing colours. The cheeks are not supposed to go with the eyes that is the defining factor of this look

  • Hi For this video i tried searching for Mac e/s redbrick and coral but it's not available, do you think you could match it up with any other mac or bobbi brown e/s that's available? thx!

  • if you tried finding them on the regular website, you won't find them you have to go to the pro website or in the store. if you dont have a mac pro card you cant get it online. a MAC dupe you could get at the counter is Rule e/s

  • This is a particularly stunning look for pale blue eyes. When I was a make-up artist, I often used corals, coppers, and even reds on blue-eyed models.

  • what an amazing look - ty

  • Wow that's realy amazing..love it a lot. <3

Thanks for this tutorial....very well done!!

    Worth?? 5 *****

  • prety

  • this is a great look! and you're really pretty :] this would look nice as an everyday look too.

  • I just love this look! absolutely stunning I don't see Red Brick nor Coral on the Mac site so quick question, are these 2 colors matte? I think I have some dupes that will work from makeupforever, but they are matte. Thank you!

  • You wont find them on the normal mac website because they are Pro colours. You can go onto the Mac Pro website and find them.

  • Beautiful! I just subscribed to you, Im loving all your tutorials.

  • this is so gorgeous! would've never thought of it

  • 80's, but still timeless. Can you do typically 70's look? with green eyeshadow, and false eyelashes,I am looking for inspirations

  • Comment removed

  • With all respect, the make-up was usually crudely applied. There is no doubt that the 80's did spawn some total innovators (Leigh Bowery, Boy George, Madonna). Mostly, the ideas were there but the technique and product were not. Come on... You only have to look at the Vogue covers from the time.

The very idea of these videos is to highlight and remember the amazing creativity in make-up from times gone by, which kind of makes your comment pointless.

  • I do agree that today's make up is blended in a much better fashion. Debbie Harry was and will always be my idol and I loved her face. She always wore the heavier make up so beautifully. I hope my previous comment didn't offend you. You are such a beautiful young woman I think :)

  • WOW!!!!!!!!! I love this look!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • :D oh darling. your videos are so amazing! i love love love them all! :D

this look is amazing! i love the eyeshadow. =] i will probably do this look sone day haha. just for the heck of it! =]

  • thanks for doing this vid, my dear!

    three questions though.

    1) first off, must one be a makeup artist to shop at the mac pro store? 2) secondly, could mac's orange shadow be used as a substitute for red brick?? 3) And thirdly, is lady danger limited edition?

  • hersinkingheart2007, you don't have to be a makeup artist to shop at the mac pro store :D and i don't think lady danger is limited edition

  • Very pretty even tho this was an 80's look I would wear it now without the pointy lips of course

  • I love this look! It's bright, colorful, and very Debbie Harry. It's funky, but simple, I think. And I find that the orange-coral colors look fantastic with blue eyes. Love this look!

  • do you know anywhere in england where i can buy mac products apart from selfridges ? :)

and all of your looks are amazing thankyou for showing us how, i wish i could do it aswell as you do

  • I don't think it looks funny, I think it looks gorgeous! Especially with your hair color, it brings out the vibrant colors.

  • it's a little bit hard to do if people who are barely know make up.

But i will keep trying , practice makes prefect ;)

  • All the tips and tricks are in the Basics videos.

  • I love your videos!
