My father bought me this album when I was 12 years old and in the 7th grade in 1973. I met Mr. Karr later that same year when he came to our town to do a program. He had me "hold" his bass while he went to get some "Bass is beautiful" buttons for us to wear. Just before he left he said, "Oh, don't drop it - it's a $45,000 dollar bass." I held tight. What a great guy!
i WAS LUCKY ENOUGH to have taken lessons from Gary, I am very happy to see him recorded and interviewed so recently. He has aged well. Di you think you could put part 3 etc on. I would love tohear more of the interview. Thank you!!!

His playing sounds so strong and delicate at the same time. There is just no hesitation or fear in his sound.

Thanks for this! It's always great to hear Gary Karr talk, and even better to hear him play! Do you have the rest of this interview?
