How do you install a light switch box (distance from the floor) and wire the single polle switch?

It depends on your wire gauge and circuit breaker.

multiply the volts by the amps and then use the 80% rule.

for 15 amp circuit take the volts times the amps 120 x 15 = 1800 then multiply it by 80% = 1400 watts capacity

for 20 amp circuit take the volts times the amps 120 x 20 = 2400 then multiply it by 80% = 1920 watts capacity
