  • Bennett came to my town to give an anti-Catholicism speech under the veil of a Christianity talk. My mom and I, both Catholics, attended, looking forward to Christian community. Boy were we surprised. He spoke total fabrications about the RC Church, and called us an "abomination". Long story short, his session ended with me (age 18) in front of a room of 50 angry Christians, as I quoted the Bible and defended the Church for 30 mins. Brennan said NOTHING. This man is NOT a Christian.

  • Richard Bennet is clearly a droning charlatan whose tactic is to bore one to death.

It is a testament to the fragility of the so-called faith of Berean Beacon that they block people who argue with their dogma. Theirs is not so much a faith, as a hysterical brainwashing.

  • GNR 1......Berean.....0000000wned!

  • GNR: St. John Chrysostom and St. Basil the Great were so Protestant they composed Divine Liturgies (aka Masses) still use by Orthodox and (pardon this crude term) Uniate Churches to this day. I almost fell off my chair when I say this British Calvinist extolling Chrysostom's writings on the priesthood. . .which I thought John Calvin proved was a Romish fable.

  • . the pope I'm sure he's a good guy and all bit his understanding is not so great .. But beware there are some that know what they ate doing they ate sheep in wolves clothing !!! This includes all religions... I am christian .. Follower of Jesus Christ not a church or man .. My church ( brother and sisters in Christ ) are a group of like minded peolple that study the bible together .. Pray for wisdom together .. And love all of gods creation regardless their Beleif .. No hate !

  • You are all just misguided and I pray for you all , it's tough with so many religions and doctorines etc but god will reveal all soon.. So just Beleive in Jesus Christ and stay away from sin , build a relationship with Jesus and pray pray pray for strength and guidance :) the truth may Hurt but it will set you free... The devil is the master deceivet ...

You don't need the pope , the virgin Mary or the saints to intercede .. You have direct contact with God through prayer .. Not bad mouthing t

  • As a former catholic there are many more things that are man made traditions and false teaching... Seek and pray for wisdom .. Wisdom that is from God .. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,

the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints (Ephesians 1:17,18).

    You are all just mi

  • Over the past months I've been reading the Berean Beacon's articles at the suggestion of a sincere Christian friend. This friend sought to show me the errors of the Catholic ways. However, as I read and researched the statements made by Mr (not "Father") Bennett, I could see just how wrong he is in matters of Theology and Scripture and History. I started a blog to organize and document my findings. It might be helpful to others: americanberean.blogspot.com/

  • ......And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. --Repent or perish, cult member.

  • Good luck w/ your occutic catechism removing the 2nd Commandment dealing w/ idol worship and splitting the 10th into 2 separate ones. Rev 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:.............

  • oh Yeah! You rock! I love this and I am so glad that you put that on it is great. You are very entertaining and solid in your doctrine great work I love it!

  • @bornagainsaint1 well we Jesus does not need to do this but he told us to do it plain and simple. to your other 2 arguments it is a miracle which occurs when the bread and wine turn to the body and blood of OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST it is not a different sacrifice but it is the same sacrifice one and forever. he doesnt come down from heaven as you would like others to believe

  • @turtle4aire ok give me vaild researched proof of your claim. 50 million obsured by the way protestants have killed more catholics not just during the reformation but in protestant controlled countries. please repent believe in the gosple and turn to the church Christ established

  • Mr. Bennett is right. Jesus doesn't need to become bread and wine. His blood sacrifice accomplished the victory over sin. The catholic church offers His supper as an unbloody sacrifice of Jesus, and this is wrong, this clearly rejects His blood sacrifice. In John chp 6 He wasn't saying that the bread and wine is really His body and blood, He was trying to tell all of us that we are to seriously believe in His saving sacrifice. Rms 10:6-11 - says "do not bring Jesus down from heaven".

  • I at first was kind of up set with you,but as I went on I only now Feel sorry for you and have no hatred at all ! I will pray for you to see the true light of Jesus Christ and come out of the Whore of Babaylon ! Please come out while you have time !

  • I just like how protestants use conspiracy theories to prove there point. they pick and choose what they want to be literal and what to be metaphoric and pretend they know how to interpret scripture. even more then the church fathers, and the doctors of the church. they think Christ thinks like they do. they dont think how can i serve and live more like Christ. egocentic not God centered lives

  • @14alonso88 You need to see How many Men, Women, and Children that was burn at the stake by the Catholic Church for no jointing the Catholic Church ! I wonder what these millions of children burning at the Stake for not joining the Catholic Church thought of the Priest that was watching them Burn !

50,000,000+ People was burned at the stake by the Catholic Church for not joining the "" HOLY"" Catholic Church ! These poor Souls are on your Head as you defend the Killer of 50,000,000 People !

  • You seem to find great flaws in his speaches and the way he explained his point ! Mostly you found great flawiness in his knowledge of Catholic Doctrine ! Mr. Bennette did attend 4 yrs. of school on the Catholic Doctrine and did finish with good grades and the sent to Rome for being so Knowledgiable in the Catholic Doctrine.

Now where is your training in the Catholic Doctrine to be able to say he was not knowledgiable in Catholic Doctrine ? Now he being a Priest for 30 yrs. also !

    ZERO !

  • @turtle4aire Bennett is a fraud that was in reality never a Catholic priest. I have spoken to him on many occassions and there is a reason why he refuses to debate or defend his beliefs in a public arena. He's a fraud. My training can be seen in the over 20 moderated debates I have participated in. The difference is, those that I have debated actually KNOW Catholic doctrine. They're not frauds like Bennett.

  • @turtle4aire you don't have a clue into catholic doctrine not a single clue just lies

  • @turtle4aire Bennett is a liar like you he knows Jack makes it up as he goes like you dummy. Berean Beacon is just like those dopes at the westbourough Church different name same garbage

  • @martlut Please quote from a NON-Popes for your referrences as to say he is wrong. If you use only Popes for references you just get a Catholic view point and not a independent View at All ! When the Lord returns on that Judgement day, Will he see what you say as his view Point as he judges you and has the lake of fire waiting for all who he does not agree with ! Saturtday is the Lord's Sabbath and your church says Sunday is the Sabbath ! It was changed by the Catholic church in about 300 A.D. !

  • @turtle4aire So many Catholics so angry, why, the guy on the video looks like he is ready to kill. You should call Bennett father because he is a priest. Is that a venial sin?Better do your novenas

  • @turtle4aire and gnrhead Bennett is ex-priest,please call him father, okay. Now he is led by the Lord, are you?

  • Richard was no Priest, lol. That's the defense just some false accusation. You even read into the word of the figurative language of the church fathers. With qouting church fathers it is also obvious that only the once that support you point or said words that you can turn into your point will be qoute, Go Richard! What did the chruch father say about evolution and what does the pope say todaym quite differennt stances there mate.

  • God Bless your ministry!!!

  • if you were to read the whole of John 6 your would see that when Christ said about this being his body and his blood the desiples were offended by this , (John 6:60 Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard [this], said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it? ) this is because it was against there law to eat blood, if you were to read on (John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.)

  • all the fathers as you said are CATHOLIC FATHERS, you only know history according to catholic history as they want you to know it, and yet some of this so called history has been forged as some CATHOLICS have admitted and brought forth to the RCC, yet the forgerys' still stood...for instance the donation of constantine.

  • @07braves Yes very true catholic will always just present the most baised account of history on earth. Even worse than Islam at times. Also the chruch father he qouted was speaking about gnostisism who didn't have lord supper at all cause they didn't think it represented christ. Cause of their believe in him only being spiritual so the then refute it by saying it represented real body and blood. A true history account shows the chruch F was divided on this issue.Until the Lateran council in 1215

  • @1brandwag i agree...thank you

  • I like how you use the word "Absurd" at the front of this vid! The idea that you are drinking Jesus' blood and eating His body is ABSURD! The Catholic Cult is cannibolistic and absurd! I cant believe ppl like you actually take yourselves seriously? LOL U can talk about 'early church fathers' all ya want, who cares? What about the Bible? And after all, the ROman CUlt has burned millions of ppl at the stake, real moral standard there! lol I dunno how anyone could be catholic.

  • @Conail23 We talk about the Church Fathers because they are the earliest witnesses to the teachings of the Apostles. Who cares? Christians care! This is what was taught by the Apostles, Ignatius of Antioch was taught by St John the Apostles and Ignatius teaches the Eucharist. The real question is 'Who cares what Protestants propaganda ministers think?'.

  • Repent you slivering snake and ask Yahushua to forgive you

  • FUCK YOUR CHRIST LOVING CUNTISH FATHER RICHARD BENNET WHAT EVER THE FUCK YOUR SAYING LOL!!!!!!!!!!

  • 'Come out of here my children, be noy partakers of her sins'

  • Here is some advice, if you really want to convince a Protestant of the legitimacy of your catholic dogma's you need to do it using the BIBLE [KJV], if you find yourself incapable of this then don't even try.

  • That is why the papists have to resort to aristotle, plato and other pagan philosophers to try to support their doctrine of transubstantiation because it is not found in the Bible.

  • Protestants acknowledge the "Eucharist" as the "Body and Blood" of Christ. These statements could very well be referring to consubstantiation or something along those lines.

What we are talking about here is TRANSUBSTANTIATION. Please show me where the doctrine of transubstantiation is clearly outlined by the 1st or 2nd century Church. You will not find it except amongst the mithraists who perverted the Lord's Supper turning it into a pagan cannibal sacrament.

  • Come on, dont shrink from the debate you intellectual coward. Show me all these places where the "church fathers" (many of whom were quasi-pagans and gnostics themselves) spoke of transubstantiation.

  • Considering the inestimable worth of the non-canonical scriptures: If you have a love for Christ your faith would be so strong as to seek out in an attempt to quench the fire of desiring truth and read all things keeping what is good and dwelling upon it.

    +++

    Alms, Fasting, Prayer.

  • @ammazzamoro First of all, there is no such thing as "non-canonical scriptures". If it is not found in the Bible than it is not Holy Writ. I read and study all things but I will not accept all things as divinely inspired or even correct.

  • Great vid!!! keep fighting the lies

  • Scripture states Christ died "Once for all." Thus it does not matter what early "church fathers" state. Christ died one time and said "It is finished." "ONCE for ALL." In addition, Jesus said regarding the last supper "Do this in rememberance of Me."

When Jesus said "This is My body and blood shed for you, do this in rememberance of Me" He was saying to recall what He was about to do for those who believe in His WORK FOR them. Just as He isn't a literal door, when He said "I am the door"

  • you sound like scooby.

  • Comment removed

  • wow, I don't think this guy realizes he is wrong... hahaha!

  • There is no licit Eucharist in the Vatican II 'Church'

  • in the book of Acts it says believe and be baptist, babys can't believe,

faith alone, bible alone, scripture alone,

    tradition takes people to hell.

  • hey weewee, if tradition takes people to hell can you interpret this bible verse for me. 2 Thessalonians 2:15 Stand firm, then, brothers, and keep the TRADITIONS that we taught you, whether by WORD OR MOUTH or by letter.

Can u interpret this other verse for me?

1 Timothy 3:15 but in case I should be delayed, I want you to know how people ought to behave in God's household--that is, in the Church of the living God, PILLAR AND SUPPORT OF THE TRUTH.

It seems this 2 verses refute you.

  • I have pointed out from Scripture that the Seven Sacraments are not man-made. They come from God. They are very Biblical. You may want to dismiss this but the claim that the Sacraments is man-made is false.

  • Annointing the Sick can be found in James 5:14, the presbyters (priests) are called to anoint the sick with oil and pray over them. Their sins are forgiven. This is the sacrament of the sick, also called extreme unction.

  • ((more..))

In John 20:21, Jesus gave the Apostles to forgive sins. Jesus said that a marriage between a man and woman cannot be broken and it has been ordain by God.

Acts 1:15-26 show Peter first act to replace Judas by casting lots and Matthias was appointed. This is the first Apostolic Succession. Acts 6:6 - apostolic authority is transferred through the laying on of hands (ordination). This authority has transferred beyond the original twelve apostles as the Church has grown.

  • I suspect Richard Bennett is not only completely wrong and lacking any sort of credible historical scholarship (that is to say: he is lying), but that he is also mentally deranged i. e. insane. And he uses the word "emphatically" in every other sentence. The only reason this stuff needs debunking is so that people will not be left woth the impression that Mr Bennett's stories hold water. Great vid gnrhead!

  • Richard Bennet is a sinner saved by grace, not works and adding on 7 manmade

    sacrements

  • Sacraments are a God given gift. Faith without works is dead according th St. James. "[26] For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead. " James 2:26

  • We do good works because we are born-again with a new nature, we've been transformed from children of disobedience in darkness to children of God, into His marvelous light.

We do not do good works as part of some formula to be a Christian.

  • You say Sacraments are man-made? Well, did not Jesus commanded the Apostles to baptism them, In the Name of, In Acts 8:14-17, people of Samaria were baptized in Christ, and did not received the fullness of the Holy Spirit until they were confirmed (Confirmation) by the elders, during the last Supper, Jesus instruct the Apostles to "Do this in remembrace of me, and he gave thanks (eucharistia meaning thanksgiving in Greek)..

  • @weeweelegs AMEN and AMEN again ! I cry for the Millions that don't know what Pure Grace is of Jesus Christ ! Please come kneel before Jesus Christ and ask for his Grace to be saved ! Please !

  • @weeweelegs Are Baptism and Matrimony also "man made sacracments"? But then you belong to the group who follow the words of Christ: Forget to do this in memory of Me.

  • the theif on the cross did not need any of the sacrements, that blows your teachings out of the water,

read the book of Hebrews, Jesus was offered up once , it is mention 9 times,

read Rev 17 and you will find the church of rome.

  • the catholic church has added on to scripture, where in the bible does it mary was without sin, the pope annouced this in 1854, then in 1950's she was taken up to heaven and did not die.

Jesus said do this remembrance of me,

what about the thief on the cross who Jesus said you will be with be today.

  • I can't tell you how many times I have been told that the RCC has killed millions only to go to the library and local book store and millions turn into thousands. You turn a few pages and non-Catholics have killed thousands too. For those that do give sources, all I get are books or web sites from non-Catholics with an axe to grind. Please use secular histories for me to take you seriously- other than that you are being a false witness. Please ONE real historian. Not the Berean Beacon.

  • Ironic isn't it, how many Catholics focus solely on the eucharist, yet the Scriptures says unless you eat my flesh AND drink my blood you have no life. Herein, I know from years of being a Romanist and attending countless Masses that the vast majority of Catholics never drink of the cup (germs, you know) and thereby are condemned. And the clergy do not in any way enforce the drinking of the cup so by their own theology are damning their own people.

  • Are you going to leave me too? John 6

  • Richard Bennett was on one of the christians channels where i live. He was espousing the idea of sola scriptura. He must have missed the bit in scripture where Christ condemns the Sadducees who held to a similar belief(Matthew22:29), and commends the Pharisees who held to the written and oral traditions of Moses(Matthew23:1-3).

  • My God is not Martin Luther. I don't follow Him. He teaches trust in baptism and communion for forgiveness of sins. I only trust in Christ alone. I get my theology from the Bible. Whosoever shall call upon the name of the "Lord shall be saved". Romans 10:9-14. No offence, but the Roman Catholic faith was perverted early on. They added teachings that are not found in the Bible, just like the Pharisees did, "teaching for commandments the doctrines of men". Matthew 15:9, Col. 2:22. Read it.

  • Catholicism is Idolatry.

  • Catholics clearly trust in men, instead of the Word of God. Why trust in the so-called Fathers instead of the Word of God? Why trust in Popes & Preists, which offices have no place in the Bible, instead of the Word of God. What a Satanic deception! And as the Pharisees of old, have more interest in defending their own man-made traditions, instead of the Word of Christ, so today the Catholic church leaders love their traditions instead of the Word of God, as studied in context.

  • Sir,

Ignatius of Antioch a disciple of St John says in his letter to the Smyrnaeans: "They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. Those, therefore, who speak against this gift of God, incur death in the midst of their disputes."

Again Ignatius says that, he who was privileged to learned faith from ST JOHN THE APOSTLE!

  • Ignatius was a man. He was not an apostle. The apostles who wrote the Bible have it right, and are the only ones to be trusted. Nevertheless, how do you know he wasn't speaking figuratively about the flesh, just like Jesus did. Matthew 26:28... for THIS IS MY BLOOD of the covenant.... 29 I tell you, from now on I shall not drink THIS FRUIT OF THE VINE until the day when I drink it with you new in the kingdom of my Father." Jesus spoke in figures of speech all the time: I am the Light...etc

  • Your theology was created by MEN. Where is the word "RAPTURE" in the Bible? Where is the "Sinner's Prayer" in the Bible?

The Catholic Faith was founded on Christ, who called the 12 to be his key followers, then when each apostle died they prayed for his replacement and so on....

Yeah. We trust in men with a direct lieneage of the Apostles and Christ.

Your "God" Martin Luther even said in his writings "If it wasn't for the Catholic Faith" we would not have the scriptures".

  • The Founding Fathers had more sense than the Reformers. The US Constitution is the supreme law of the land, but you don't see James Madison tell people to take it home and interpret it for themselves. The Founding Fathers set up a Supreme Court to interpret it. The bible is the final authority but I trust the Supreme Court of Rome than the mess Luther left behind.

  • read James 2:17 and 18 everyone plz will help thank you on issue due to faith

  • gnrhead, I am a Catholic. Considered leaving a few years back. I was a lapsed Catholic/Christian for sure. In looking at so many aspects of Catholicism - sacraments, free will, Early Church Fathers....I became t realize that those old priests and nuns had it all right.

Please continue with your work on here!!

    God bless

  • You haven't read true church history if you think the catholics got it right. By the way, you are supposed to read the Bible to find truth, not church history, etc.

Do a search on Richard Bennett and the Inquition and watch that video.

  • wow this is whati call a reprobate mind. the "fathers" which weren't really fathers at all. Jesus said call no man on earth your father. these "fathers" you talk about did not start the church, Jesus did. actualy God did in the foundation of the world. in no part of thebible does it say "worship bread and wine" and in no part does it say " bread and wine literally turns to Christ!" never at all

  • It is this precise HATRED and IGNORANCE of yours that makes me rejoice that I became educated in Theology and left Protestantism. Jesus DID say call no man father, too bad you IGNORANTLY don't even understand the context or else you'd realize that PAUL and ABRAHAM are called PATERES--FATHERS! GOD is the foundation of the world and that is Catholic dogma. The Bible tells us that the Bread and Wine become the BODY and BLOOD of Christ, in turn entailing that CHRIST is to be worshipedin the elements

  • @gnrhead Hatred and ignorance? The Catholic Church has always promoted hatred and ignorance. The Catholic Church's 605 years of torture and murder of those faithful in Christ alone. And here's what they say to that:

"If any one saith, that justifying faith is nothing else but confidence in the divine mercy which remits sins for Christ's sake; or, that this confidence alone is that whereby we are justified; let him be anathema."

-Council of Trent, Canons Concerning Justification, Canon 12

  • I suggest you read the Bible without your predisposed hatred. Read into Church History and learn that the Early Church was Catholic and believed JUST what the Catholic Church professes. Instead of using the title "JESUSMOVEMENT" and calling the Church the WHORE, learn that the passage in Reveleation is not even speaking of Catholicism. Stop for one moment and become educated. Your arguments are weak and mindless and have been refuted hundreds of years back. I will pray for your hatred to subside

  • @gnrhead "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Exept a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Marvel not that I said unto thee, ye must be born again". The reality dear friend is that you need Jesus Christ to come into your heart, FORGIVE ALL of your SINS and give you a NEW LIFE. No one can do that for you but CHRIST. No RELIGION, no INSTITUTION, no MAN MADE TRADITIONS. NO ONE but God in the person of CHRIST. REPENT of your IDOLATRY and turn to CHRIST!

  • @gnrhead You do need to pray for this fellow, but you need to pray for the Priest that got him to put this up on You Tube and possible wrote his words for him ! Thisw boy seems to be reading a script from his computor as he tells of the wrong with Mr. Bennette words and knowledge of the catholic church Doctrine ! Mr. Bennette has forgot as much as this boy knows about Catholic Ch. Doctrine just by what he says ! He needs praying for Greatly !

  • @turtle4aire Perhaps a priest also got me to write the words for my other OVER 100 videos too. Right? Perhaps a priest was also standing next to me in all of my live moderated debates. Right? Perhaps then Mr. Bennett wouldn't be so scared to defend his teachings in a live moderated debate. I've spoken to Bennett on more than one occassion.

  • @gnrhead Does not agreeing with him make you right ? If Bennette studies the Doctorine of the Catholic church for 30 yrs. and you come along to prove him wrong. How long have to took out of your life to study the Doctorine of the Catholic Ch. to say He is wrong ? Studing something for 30 yrs. is had to say he does not know what it means ! Come out of Her before it is too late, Please !

  • @turtle4aire To put it kindly, he's a coward, a liar, and a fraud. He knows LITTLE of Catholic doctrine. You can call me a BOY all you want, it's too bad Mr. Bennett has been exposed by a "BOY" and refuses to debate or dialogue on Catholic teaching with a "boy".

  • @gnrhead Lord Son, Bennette can make clam chower out of you and the Priest that is putting you up to this. The reason I say this is you say he is wrong about something and then move on to another wrong. Your suppose to explain what is wrong with his words or sayings and not just move on to some more take down ideals ! When you say he is wrong, Explain why, not just move On !

Did you know the Pope kissed the Quran and called it Blessed ! Also read Math. 23:9 Call No Man Father on the Earth !

  • Christ also said in the same verse that no man is to be called 'teacher.'

Oh! That the hardness of your heart should be removed and that you may come to believe in Kingdom Come to Earth.

    +++

    Alms, Fasting, Prayer.

  • @JesusMovement You're using matthew 23:9 out of context which will skew your view of holy scripture.

  • @archangel703 If you think this is Skewed, Please just explain it to me so I can understand it ? If some one in the bible says something I read it and take it as what they say said and take it as what they wrote and not try to read into it something else ! EXPLAIN PLEASE !

  • @turtle4aire Ok i'll send it to your inbox because it's too long for comments. I'll explain the "Call no Man father" issue properly.

  • @JesusMovement So what do you call the man who impregnated your mother?

  • Please continue GRN head with your youtube responses. Every time I delve even deeper into history and Church history, the more chaotic and untenable positions I see that Protestants have.

  • I have never understood how Protestants say Catholic beliefs are not biblical. Yet when I ask somebody to show me where in the Bible they find Sola Scriptura or Sola Fide they cannot point it out. Yet, when I show them James talking about faith and works, or when christ talks about the Eucharist all I get is that Christ does not really mean that.

To the guy who said numbers does not really matter concerning the Spanish Inquisition, than why continue disseminated such rubbish?

  • I've seen numbers in Protestant books and websites that claim 300,000, 9 million, 20 million, 50 million, and the ridiculous of 150 million. Real historians like Penn State History Professor Edward Peters in Inquisition cites that from 1550 to 1800, 3,000 people died (p. 87). Henry Kamen in The Spanish Inqusition: A Historical revision cites 3,000 to 5,000 in 300 years. Please check your facts, not just repeat what your pastor tells you every Sunday. 20 million, please!

  • Forget the numbers, the point being this is supposed to be Historic Christianity traced back to The Apostles and Jesus. I don't think so, I'm going to rejoice when God destroys the Whore of Babylon!!!!!!

  • I also like to add that Protestants were no different because they have killed witches such as the Salem Witch Trials, etc. They are also guilty of killing Catholics in Protestant countries.

  • GNRHEAD, if you don't have time to post the supposed evidence that refutes Richard Bennett, exCatholic Priest, on the eucharist, then, your claims and videos are NOT refutations just denials.

There is NO acceptance in the ante-Nicean fathers of the eucharist as it is expressed and practiced in the RCC. There is no transubstantiation in the Ante-Nicean fathers either. Practices such as the refusal of the cup to the laeity are documented by Catholic sources as recent not original practice.

  • Excuse me? This is a MULTI PART SERIES genius. I have already presented EVERYTHING HE SAYS and refuted it all. I've also debated Mr. Bennett, he's a joke.

  • You didn't say that you would provide the evidence. I know Richard personally and he isn't a joke. His education far surpasses yours especially in Catholicism. Also, you didn't bother to answer me refutation above or tell which video or yours provides an ante-Nicean teacher of apostolic descent that taught the eucharist in its current form used in Catholicism, gnr.

  • I already provided the evidence, watch the series. I don't care if you know Richard, he's a coward who I've shown to be a liar already. His education surpasses mine? He can't even read the ORIGINAL LANGUAGES! Richard is a joke. Sorry, need more proof. Watch my refutation of James White on the Eucharist. Check my other videos out. While you're at it, Have Richard debate me in a live forum or on radio...he won't==he's a coward. Too bad you can't see he's a lying conniving snake who spreads lies.

  • More dodging the question, GNR. I will stop posting on your page. However, I point out that if you had evidence you could provide a single video in which you answered my challenge above or at least dropped a name. You are lying and I called your hand. You simply attack Richard but can't prove a thing. I will not watch a series of videos when you can't provide one name in support of your false claims. The truth is clear from your answers. If you can't give a name, an hour of propaganda won't!

  • name your challenge.

I have not lied about anything. From Bennett being a liar to him being foolish. He is a joke. His videos belong in the comedy section. If you'd like to read our short PDF recorded transcript debate I'd be glad to show you. Bennett is one of the biggest frauds in the theological world. He, in fact, is not even trained in theology. You will not watch a series when I can't give a name? Wake up and smell the roses buddy, I've done at least 15 videos ON THIS TOPIC ALREADY

  • and have named many many Fathers. You want to talk about PRE NICEAN---then look into my videos and see my video on IGNATIUS where I refute James White. I have no desire to yield to the claims of a Fundamentalist wack job when they won't bother even listening to my work. Your criticism is that of a straw man then. I suggest you actually pick up a THEOLOGY manual---then come back here and try and dialogue with me

  • @gnrhead Funny that you papists can only find any basis for your dogma in the supposed writings of Ignatius which are proven to be spurious [the work of later popes]. I have several BOOKS I could suggest to you which more then prove that the writings of an "Ignatius of Antioch" are forgeries. Even your own Jesuit theologians such as Dionysius Petavius readily admitt to this fact.

  • It emerged that more women accused of witchcraft died in the Protestant countries than under the Inquisition. For example, the Inquisition burned 59 women in Spain, 36 in Italy and four in Portugal, while in Europe civil justice put to trial close to 100,000 women and burned 50,000 of them.

  • Manny, please, cite a source on that claim. The inquisitions may have killed 20 million people altogether. I have not seen any large witch hints in history save the Catholic ones. The Salem witch trials account for only about 36 unjustified executions. I have not seen any claims such as yours in historical texts.

  • Here are some facts:

In 2000 Pope John Paul II called for an "Inquisition Symposium" and opened the Vatican to 30 external historians. Their findings called into question certain long-held beliefs.

  • The Catholic Church IS the True Church of Jesus Christ.

The Inquisition is divided into four parts, Medieval, Spanish, Portuguese, and Roman. These were tribunals who tried those who were heretics.

The numbers killed in the inquisition is about 50,000 not millions. Get your facts straight Richard

  • Manny, your claim that the RCC is the true church is unfounded. Please, qualify that with the facts not just a claim.

  • Mark 13:21-23

At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect—if that were possible. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time. Isn't

this what the Catholic church is saying, "Look, here is really Christ...in the Eucharist..." The scripture and the Gospel tell us not to believe them. So i choose to obey the Gospel.

  • hephep, in choosing to obey the Gospel, consider the second half of John 6 and 1 Cor 11. And as always, pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance before reading the Word.

  • LOL

  • 2ed century 200 yrs and 500 yrs o thats early man of coure oragin philo didnt belive it of coure they where inly 150 ad and if you know the word of god there was aready croptions in rev 7 letters to the 7 churchs one god calles senigoge of satan im a retard but i can read rev if church was cruped less then 80 yrs how much more it is now\

  • Many Eucharistic miracles prove beyond doubt that Jesus Christ is truly present in the consecrated Host.

  • My issue with bennett is this: Be careful of those who are claiming to know the only truth and preach the only truth, most times you will find they are only preaching what they believe the truth to be. I am not sure if religious truth can be defined on a larger basis then personal belief.

  • You are irrationally defending the Church, while Bennett defends the Word of God rationally. It's up to you to decide for yourself, sure - but leading others to follow the church rather than the Lord, is going to land you in hot water someday. Eh, you're not worth the text any more I gotta go - I hope the Holy Spirit moves in your heart so you may give credence to God alone rather than men.

  • Bennett is a coward. I have the transcripts of my debate with Bennett and his REFUSAL to admit he lies. Bennett cannot read Greek and was NEVER a priest. He misuses all of Scripture. If I am incorrect in this video POINT OUT MY ERRORS. Instead of spewing out all your junk saying I am wrong and idolizing the cowardly Bennett-POINT OUT HOW MY REFUTATIONS OF BENNET ARE WRONG.

  • I hope you study the ACTUAL WORD OF GOD one day, instead of listening to what mere MEN say. Following the words of men leads people nowhere. Sadly Bennett and his traditional beliefs are not those of the Ancient Church and Bennett cannot defend his views. Bennett is a fake and a fraud, I am sorry if my exposure of the cowardly BBeacon tore your heart up--but it's time you wake up and smell the flowers. Study the WORD OF GOD, leave Bennett and his cowardly ministry in the dust. GOD BLESS YOU

  • I didn't realize Bennett was such a fraud. There are countless miracles that support the true prescence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. I encourage any unbeliever to research it.

  • Again you've missed the point! None of that knowledge or information matters! The real issue is that you are supporting a man-made organization rather than giving worship and credence to God alone. This was the issue between our camps since the beginning and still is now. We say: God you are the Mightiest and You alone can Redeem Man Through Jesus Christ. - Read your own church's information and proclamations, always giving God's titles and credence to the Papacy. Either way, thanks for replying

  • grumbletiger,

I can respect your sincerity toward the teachings of BereanBeacon, but one thing you have to understand is that they are Five Point Calvinists. When they say that faith alone will cultivate salvation this is unfortunately a lie. Faith is something that makes us sincere, but it is our actions which determines our fate. We see this clearly in, not only in St. James' epistle, but also in Jesus words in Matthew 7:15-16.

  • It's sort of indirect, but once we really look at Christ's statement, we see that works is important and in accordance to faith. Let's look at the Syriac version of Jesus' words in verse 16: "min pirayhun: deyn t-yedauwn enown lmā lāqtiyn min kuwbbāe enb-ā, au min quwrṭbeh tēnt-ā." If you have some knowledge in Syriac Aramaic one can see that the english translation is accurate. I'm not sure if Syriac was Jesus' original dialect of Aramaic he spoke, but they're all pretty similar.

  • Can you read Greek? I suppose since you're a great scholar you can refute me. I'll wait here for you to point out ANY error I have made in the koine Greek. I'll probably wait a LIFETIME. Show me the textual DIFFERENCES and the errors I have made in the Greek big man. I'll wait here--though I won't hold my breath

  • Good job gnrhead!!! Berean Beacon is of many I had disputes with over many fundamental issues in Christian theology. Hopefully they will see your video and really take it into consideration.....but I'd doubt it.

  • they have seen my video but cannot or will not respond to it. I have spoken to Mr. Bennett many times, he is a liar and a fraud

  • This entire video misses the point! You keep trying to validate your beliefs with the church, which is the entire point to begin with. The Bible doesn't back any of those Catholic teachings, or you. You may be a good Catholic, but that's not what gets you into heaven - if you think it is then you need to read the Bible again. The Pope and church are just people, the Bible is the Word of God. Decide who you will pay your respects to.

  • I am sorry that you missed the whole video's message buddy. I exegete Scripture in the GREEK and point out how Bennett does neither, nor does he disprove the Catholic position. I'm sorry if your little heart is broken that Mr. Bennett was proven to be a fraud. He IS a fraud and always will be. The Pope and Church being people? That's new to me, I thought they were canines. Grow up

  • If he is Catholic he has. We are baptized in the name of the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit.

weeweelegs: We do not believe that Jesus "dies again and again" his one sacrifice which transcends time is RE-PRESENTED in the Mass.

  • Have you been baptized by Jesus in The Holy Ghost Mr. gnrhead?

  • the finnished work of the cross, is the bible truth, you cannot keep sacrificing Jesus in the Eucharist, the blood of Jesus was offered up onced, Hebrews 9 v 29 , the problem lyes with the fact you don't hold to the bible are as only authority and word of God, read the last verses of the bible

  • sorry for you, but Hebrews is correct, Christ WAS sacrificed ONCE for all. Even SORRIER is that you know NOTHING of Catholic teaching. Catholics don't claim Christ is re-sacrified. Learn some Biblical terminology, then come back and post here.

  • Catholic teachings goes like this quote "He daily offers Himself upon our altars for our redemption." "A Sacrifice which the Church is accordingly wont to offer daily." (Catechism of the Council of Trent; Vatican II, Dogmatic Constitution on the Church; Mediator Dei, Pius XII; Mirae Caritatis, Leo XIII). This teaching is not in conformity with Heb 10:11 & 12.

  • That so funny these protestants are accusing Catholics of cannnibalism. Thats EXACTLY WHAT THE ROMAN PAGANS DID WHEN THEY PERSECUTED THE CATHOLIC CHRISTIANS IN THE 1ST AND 2ND CENTURY. notice any trend now? Jesus says those who dont eat my flesh and drink my blood will not inherit eternal life. So which side are you on drbible? Jesus's or Martin Luthers?

  • All Protestant arguments prove too much AND always have precedents in non-Catholic belief systems.

  • DrBible I just read your comments. I'd be glad to debate you in a public moderated forum, over radio, through Youtube or through Email. Don't come barking challenges here without knowing what you're getting into. Take the challenge up. Let's debate the Eucharist

  • That's fine by me.

Send me your email privately and let the debate begin.

  • Good rebuttal.

  • It was Berean Beacon who inspired my You Tube channel. At the time, he had 90 anti-Catholic videos. I vowed to have more pro-Catholic videos than he someday and now I do. So kudos for Berean Beacon for inspiring Catholic Digital Studio, my growing website. HA! God bless!

  • You are quoting Roman Catholics from over 1000 years after the death of Jesus. By this time the church had adapted pagan practices/ celebrations into their belief system. Try looking at the history and times of Jesus for the truth. He was a Jew celebrating the Seder. The seder is full of symbolism. It is a remembrance of the exodus from Egypt. Jesus was symbolizing our exodus from the captivity of sin.

  • Roman Catholics over 1,000 years after Jesus' Death? Little girl I am quoting the EARLY CHRISTIANS barely 100 years after the time of Christ! Keep your uneducated rumblings out of here.

  • Are you sure you are Christian?Christ would not write in such a snide condescending tone as you did to me. I am not a little girl. I am older than you young one. I made a mistake. I was actually referring to one of you other videos in this series. Aquinas c. 1225 -- 7 March 1274. If you cannot forgive you are not a Christian. Don't get so full of yourself that you don't have room for Christ.

  • he is probably just tired of ignorance! You think that is rude. You should have read a comment a so called christian left me after I exposed his misconceptions about the catholic church.

  • The problem is when a Roman Catholic is confronted with the Bible they need to look to other sources to try and disprove what God's word plainly says. There is no PRIVATE INTERPRETATION here. The verses are pretty clear to anyone who can read English!

  • no we don't read a decent catholic apologetics book. All catholic teachings are backed up with scripture.

  • If RC teaching is backed up by Scripture ALONE then please explain the verses in Genesis, Leviticus & Acts. I would suggest to you that your final authority is Tradition and the teachings of the Magisterium and NOT the Holy Scriptures. Please tell me how a person can obtain eternal life!

  • OK. Let's start with Genesis 41:15-45. What happens between Joseph, one of the 12, and Pharaoh? Does not Pharaoh need an answer, and nobody is able to answer, except Joseph, who receives the answer from God? And then what does Pharaoh do once he recognizes that Joseph has received the right answer from God?

  • Your point?

Still waiting for a Roman Catholic answer to those verses.

Maybe Aristotle (not one of the 12?) was told by God about TRANSUBSTANTIATION?????

  • So you don't disagree with what I said? Do you agree that there are parallels between the Old and New Testaments and nearly everything in the New Testament has a parallel in the old?

  • I know exactly where you are heading with this! and I must admit that in all my studies I have not come across a Catholic apologist use this one before-I'm impressed.

OK, I will take the bait. Yes, I agree there are typologies in the OT. How about answering my question or are you getting to it slowly?

  • John Chapter 6?

  • Why don't you read it together with the rest of the Bible and let the author interpret it for you and NOT the Catholic Church!

  • Thats the funny thing. I have read the whole bible on my own. I use to be an Evangelical Protestant. After Reading the bible and studying the history of the Ancient Church and even going as far to visit Europe where the Christianity is much older than the Christianity is in America, I came to the conclusion that remaining an Evangelical Protestant would be an unreasonable position for me to take. The Church had the most reasonable approach to reality. Sorry, the ancient Church was not Protestant

  • If you knew the true history of the Catholic church from time of Constantine to 1800, you would not become a Catholic. The once pure poor persecuted apostolic church was given by Constantine freedom, riches, a non-biblical heirarchy, and eventually civil authority to eventually rule even over kings. They adopted pagan rituals like prayer for the dead, and many other pagan rites.

  • I know that the Catholic Church has committed atrocities. That was in the past; I live in the present. Do I practice rituals to other gods? Of course not, I am Catholic. I believe in the mystery of the Trinity. I believe Jesus to be Fully God and Fully Human.

Now, lets talk about the Anglican Church and the persecution of Catholics by the Anglican Church. Or lets talk about the anti-irish Catholic group, the Know Nothing party in America.

  • But you do not trust in Christ alone to save you, the Catholic church teaches you to trust them and their sacraments to forgive your sins, & your good works, Rom 4:5. Jesus said "He who trusts in Me has eternal life". That is a personal faith in Him alone, the church cannot help to save you, trust in Christ alone can save you.

  • Obviously, you did not take my point. Am I blind? No I am not. I do not follow blindly, Drop it.

Tertullian of Carthage said this, to paraphrase, when you have two people convicted in their beliefs and then they debate, they waste the air that everyone breathes and they end up being more convicted in what they already believe.

I am not going to waste my time on you. My Beliefs are justified and reasonable.

I am not leaving the Catholic Church.

    Go convince some other Catholic.

  • Sorry I offended you, I don't mean to, but I get a bit excited about many false teachings of Catholicism. The Bible says you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of God, John 3:3-5. The Catholic church teaches that "born again" is baptism. This is simple not true. "Born of water" is the physical birth. The birth of the Spirit is in our spirits. You must have a turning from sin (repentance) & a personal faith in Christ & his Grace for the Spirit to come into your life & give you a new birth.

  • If you know how bad the popes were and the corruptions and murder of millions of innocent people by them, why in the world would you or anyone want to serve a church corrupted by them? How could you be so blind to trust them? A church that has been though the centuries corrupted in doctrine & practice, filled with murderous, power hungry popes, who have no authority from Christ. Flee from them to serve Christ alone, not a corrupted church! He alone is worthy to serve.

  • Richard, if you pile up the bodies you Protestants are pretty good at it too: the Salem Witch Trials, the North American Indians (The Trail of Tears, Wounded Knee, receiving blankets with small pox for trade from the Puritans), the Hawaianns, Zulus, Aborigines in Australia, the Peasants Revolts in Europe, the English Martyrs in England, all examples of Genocide at the hands of Protestants.

  • But I don't trust in Prodestantism, like you trust in Catholicism. I trust in Jesus Christ & His Word only. You are forced by the Church to trust their interpretation of the Bible, & trust the Pope. What it comes down to for Catholics is that they trust "Mother Church" & Mary to be their mediator between them and God. I have Jesus Christ only for my Mediator. I don't need a church or a pope for that. Jesus is more than sufficient. There is one Mediator between God & man, the man Christ Jesus.
