Yes. Rodents aren't emotional whatsoever. A dog IS, however, and then some. Theyre smart and cunning. They have facial expressions. Just because you think your hamster understands you or would stay loyal if you let him out his cage doesnt mean its going to come true. In fact its more sick since you probably get satisfaction out of doing good when you feed it. Then more sick since you keep it in a tiny little cage. But then again you dont understand how cruel it is to domesticate such a creature.
@dinguscong14 I take it you've never HAD rodents. If you had, you'd know how silly it is to claim that they don't have emotions.
We're discussing guinea pigs, not hamsters.
My "rodents" live in a house that measures thirty square feet.
And are all adopted- death at the end of a needle in an overtaxed shelter would have been far more "cruel". It's certainly no more "cruel" to save them from death than to do the same for a dog. You have interesting morals. ^_^
@dinguscong14 There are no wild guinea pigs. Just like there are no wild great danes, or labs( unless they are released by their owners)
I am aware that there are wild wolves, but they are different species than dogs.
I think rodents have plenty of emotion, no, they are not as smart as a dog, but my guinea pigs love to be scratched under there ears, but not on there belly, and they squeak when they want food, and I've taught them tricks before.
I like it when the guinea pigs go in the igloo and then run out into they hay! I have 1 guinea pig! I used to have 3...2 died...;(...the only one left now is spike...
wat my guinea pig used to do was drag his igloo to his food lol lazy butt

@dinguscong14 So you love some pets more than others, depending on the species? Nice.

@dinguscong14 To say they aren't emotional is total bs, because if you have ever owned them, you would see how sweet and smart they can be.

Oh, fuck you with the guilt trip. I feel no emotions toward the creature and it's pathetic you tried. Does individualism scream anything at you?

@dinguscong14 You seem very angry. I fear for your animals.
