diesel motors put off sutt, or coal which falls to the ground and is less harmfull the anything else out there, and is more biodegradable then a tree, so relax, im from cali and we now have to smog our diesels, rofl, that shit is funny, the quikest and worst way to spend your next 50-100 bucks. they pull it in the garage, hook up the obd, no codes, it rolls out. less then 5 min later. all because people dont know anything about anything and start talkin shit instead of researching first.
I have some advise for you hippy tree huggers complaining about the enviroment,...don't go to diesel racing pages. Then we don't have to listen to the bullshit. Us diesel heads come to these videos to talk/see different ways of tweaking. So if you don't like it, don't bother coming in, and just leave.
Really the only harmful gas released in a diesel is NOx emissions. Gas cars have much more harmful gasses including NOx and Carbon Dioxide: which is a know gas causing "Global Warming"
That's amazing. The fastest stock bikes on the planet are just getting under ten on the quarter, and here's a bloody great diesel truck pulling the same numbers. Incredible. That said, those bike will do it stock, and that truck ain't nuthing like stock. Still, that's damn impressive.
@Kneedragon1962 Just remember, that truck weighs over 5000lbs! A modern street bike may weigh 400lbs. You can still get quite a bit of power out of a modern diesel without changing a part. The power is there, it is just choked-back from the factory.
I don't know about choked up - I'd say that they're engineered to achieve multiple objectives, including torque, fuel efficiency, longevity, emissions, etc... When you run the boost WAY high, and 'overrev' them, the other things have to suffer.
@Kneedragon1962, I agree. These diesels are not going to last as long as they were intended. Some of the modern techniques are to rev a diesel higher than they were years ago. This is fine and dandy, but, like you pointed out, it is detrimental to dependability. I am just a little dubious toward the craze of super high-performance diesels; diesels have a purpose, which this isn't it, IMO. I feel the same about imports with monster turbos. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.
actually cosmetics (beauty products) pollute the air more than gas and diesel engines all over the world combined. that is a fact. so its alright for the wife to fill up the house with hairspray fumes but god forbid a hint of black smoke come out of my truck...fuck that i poor out black smoke just to piss her and the environmentalists off. they can go get bent when it comes to that
@c2thej5 the words Cheap and Horse Power.. dont go together.. spend the money do it once, do it right, and youll never have to do it again.. dont afro-fab things
@c2thej5 More air and more fuel. 62mm turbo is nice for all around performance, 150 hp injectors for 98.5-02 or 50hp injectors for commonrails. But I bet your transmission is on its last leg already, get a goerend or DTT and be done with it. Need a 150 gph lift pump for support as well.
i totally agree with you on that but your bending the truth per unit however u want to messure it deisel is less harmfull but these trucks emit much more so in the end its allot worse especially doin pulls and shit personally i say fuck it but i had to say cuz im sick of the stupid comments ignoring the fact that most these dudes build there trucks and dont ever wheel um or use um pathetic posers
@NastyBuilt they are purpose built. they couldn't make them do this as well as be street drivable. I respect they're desire to push the technology to the limits and prove they can do things a lot of us wish we can do.
if i had the money, id do the same darn thein.
i bet that 9 seconds he's rippin down the track is the funnest feeling ever, and makes it alll worthwhile!
@BltchAzzNooka you are absolutely right, and that's what all the idiots don't understand, the smoke is just carbon and does nothing to hurt the environment, except sit on the ground for a few days. Where as gas engines have all kinds of INVISIBLE toxic gases that actually hurt the environment quite badly
I got a Cummins now, about 700 hp and took it to the track. HOW do I keep the rear down, i spun the first half of the track and raced the rest of the night in 4x4. Thanks.
the allisons are constantly learning. it's a problem when you have 1000 hp and the tranny adjusts itself to real easy driving. you floor it and you might as well get your wallet out now. it's an amazing tranny on stock trucks tho. and i agree with the ford comment. the trannys fall apart after chips. but build 47 re's and rh's seem to be the best out there. oo and these trucks are both super dope. the chevy swap is awesome in itself but i'm a dodge guy. :-)
The real problem with the allisons is that they are engineered to be in two gears at once between shifts,
thats how they get those butter smooth shifts from the factory, but it makes it impossible to slam the clutch packs together like a conventional racing automatic.
god you guys are funny on here posting about all of this and none of you have the money to even come close to compiting with these truck. i got a 05 cummins thats putting 550 down on a stock tranny its a 6speed. all the autos in any truck will only hold up to a little over stock. its not cummins or duramax its who has the money to build them. by the way there is a 7.3 power stroke in utah that runs in the 10s check out wide open performance.
very wrong about the trans thing... my 7.3 is holding 425 hp (when i finish the truck it'll be 600+ on a stock bottom end) through it's stock E4OD... also the 6.0s can hold over 700hp on a stock trans, the 6.4s will be able to do the same since it's the same trans... the ford transmissions have always been the strongest as a stock unit in these trucks
The Allison transmission by GM is much better. Fords usually tear apart the transmission after chipping them, (if the tranny is not upgraded). That may be due to the driver driving the truck hard, but the transmissions go out quickly after programming them. Ford makes an amazing 7.3 though. Gotta love it.
the allison is VERY reliable on a mostly stock duramax, but once you start modding it past intake/exhaust/generic tune it has a lot of problems, the truck dirtymax went through over 40 allisons while running 9s before he decided to switch to a dodge 48re
its a sick fuckin cummins. that what i have to say to that. lol. i wish someone would put a common rail fuel system on a 7.3.... then cummins would actually have some competition! but, unless they wanna spend a fortune on that, cummins is definately the way to go.....
i like the cat motors til this burnoff crap where you have to stop and burn the soot off its retarded but dont worry i think cummins learned from cats mistake.
masteropie001 that is deff not a 24 valve it is a 12. a 12 valave is a much better motor then a 24. but that guy is now running 9.27. i kmow the guy he lives 20 minutes away from me in kentucky.
put it this way durmaxx sucks ok buy a dodge and every thing well be better ok easy as that durmaxx sucks dodge cummins all the way . and that is why dodge has the worlds fastest in a quarter mile
i will say that stock dodge auto transmissions are a lil crapy but i dont like autos and you can make well over 500hp with a stick and if you look at the older dodges the front and rear ends are some of the best out there the IFS crap that GM uses sucks i have seen more than one brake under stock power and if you wana see a pull truck look this up(super modified diesels in idaho falls) on here. and yes duramax has the fastest 1/4mile time but look at the name on the side of it it says Banks!!
Dodge is the best huh? Well let me break a few things down for you! The only good part of dodge is the partnership they hve with cummins! Thats the only good thing about dodge that is worth talking about! Sure they run a straigh axle but The gm 11.5 rear end is by far better then the dodge rear end! The transmission dodge runs is already at its limits with the new 6.7l and there are many people out there running 550whp on the stock gm 6sp! lets see you make 450whp with the cummins?!
By far the Chevy/Gmc is a better truck! But beyond that the duramax holds the record for the fastest 1/4 mile diesel in the world! It is also now threatening the cummins hold on the truck pulling side of things! In fact the last 6 truck pulls i have been to a duramax has won! and yes there was dodges there all worked over running meth and everyhting! but they are all 5/6 sp's they pick a gear and thats it! where as the duramax works with three on average! love the cummins hate dodge! Simple!
I read some of the old comments here about cummins and duramax and wanted to point something out. The cummins is very undersquare and the duramax over. The cummins with its extremely long stroke will probably do better at sled pulls and less well at 1/4 miles than an oversquare engine.
diesel truckin your a faggot and got beat up a lot in high school......12 hours of my day are spent on builing motors and have of them are duramax diesels witch i have one now turning 1200 bhp on pump gas
so dont crap talk so much and i do respect the cummins it makes more power than a lightning from the factory and most people dont realize its a straight 6 motor crushing v8 chevy diesels trust me i respect the cummins but u have to respect the twin kenne bells u dumb shit for brains were is your pink slip don't waste my time
I think the faggot is you, after your name is gayrabbit. Also you are 25 years old and apparently have no idea how to grow up and act like an adult. All you do is talk a bunch of BS aobut your twin kenne bells that ONLY YOU care about, no one else does.
If you have a 1200 hp Duramax Diesel running on pump GAS you better drain that tank and put the proper fuel in. If you're so smart and building 1200hp diesel engines you should probably try to pull up to the right pump at the fuel station.
The fastest truck is powered by a cummins.. It's owned by Stuckey Racing and runs sub 9.50's.. The duramax being referred to is a tube chassis with a fiberglass body in the shape of a truck. It's closer to a rail than a truck. It weighs in the 2700 pound range. I'm not brand biased, I just know the game well.. I've raced them all..
the fastest diesel in a truck body is a Duramax but the fastest in the quarter is the Cummins..i beleive the fastest 4X4 Diesel truck is a Duramax also.
That's what a lot of people think. Banks has a HUGE budget to work with, the small guys don't have the big budget and fancy tuning facilities, but they still outperform banks. The only thing banks has that is semi-impressive is the 7.96 tube chassis pickup BODIED drag vehicle. It isn't a truck, but it's still pretty neat.
yeah, I mean i don't own anything banks or even a cummins for that matter. but i do follow them pretty close and have alot of friends who are big into mods for cummins. Id just imagen that for banks being such a big and trusted name, they could pretty much do as they please, and could make things silly if they choose. like i said i dont know but there one of the best for a reason.
They are not one of the best, but maybe one of the more well known. What they offer as far as tuning pales in comparison to what can be had elsewhere. For someone that just wants a few extra (clean) ponies they can get it from Banks, but if you're going to win at the dragstrip you won't do it with banks, not even with everything they offer unless they start selling true race parts AND the tuning to get you there.
Bye bye Dmax!! LOL. it's gonna be awhile before a "V"(more rotating parts) engine can catch up to a more efficient "inline"(less rotating parts) engine. This is all the more proof why the Dodge/Cummins combination dominates at the sled pulls, dragstrips, & is also the preferred truck for any serious hot shot freight drivers, due to their reliability, & pulling power. There, I said it. Too bad if you don't like the truth.
You are retarded. Go watch 'National title orange crush.' I have the diesel power magazine too. They are in two different classes. 2wd vs. 4wd. The Duramax take the title.
Maybe it's because the dmax is a new engine and doesn't have the rep yet like the cummins, since the cummins has been out for years. But trust me, in time the dmax redp will be known soon.
but, you are pretty stupid, seeing as the national title video ON HERE of these 2 trucks racing clearly shows the dmax only running a 10.5... this cummins is running a 9.9
idc about mother fuckin durashit. Cummins is the only way, thats why it demolished that Dura. Both of those guys racing switch back and forth in the #1 and #2 spots in the DHRA, I've seen full articles on both of em in diesel mags. Cummins Power bitch
lol gayrabbit and havoc you are both gay. Havoc, 20+ boost on a gasser, you obviously know nothing about diesels. Rabbit, I wouldn't be so overly confident, a twinned cummins 4x4 can hit real hard, especially with the headstart it would have from being so quick off of the line.
What the hell are you talking about? I own a diesel, not a gasser. I'm very educated on diesels. I own 4 of them with one of them being a drag truck that I personally built. Don't tell me I don't know anything about diesel. I would school you any day of the week.
I've seen and read about both of these trucks before, and I like them both but I WISH that that was a K10, not a C10. That Dodge is 4x4... if the Duramax were, and even trucks like Dirtymax, could get into 9's easily. Maybe even lower...
diesel motors put off sutt, or coal which falls to the ground and is less harmfull the anything else out there, and is more biodegradable then a tree, so relax, im from cali and we now have to smog our diesels, rofl, that shit is funny, the quikest and worst way to spend your next 50-100 bucks. they pull it in the garage, hook up the obd, no codes, it rolls out. less then 5 min later. all because people dont know anything about anything and start talkin shit instead of researching first.

12vgr8erthan24v 3 years ago
Dodge is the best huh? Well let me break a few things down for you! The only good part of dodge is the partnership they hve with cummins! Thats the only good thing about dodge that is worth talking about! Sure they run a straigh axle but The gm 11.5 rear end is by far better then the dodge rear end! The transmission dodge runs is already at its limits with the new 6.7l and there are many people out there running 550whp on the stock gm 6sp! lets see you make 450whp with the cummins?!
Snowgoer05 3 years ago
By far the Chevy/Gmc is a better truck! But beyond that the duramax holds the record for the fastest 1/4 mile diesel in the world! It is also now threatening the cummins hold on the truck pulling side of things! In fact the last 6 truck pulls i have been to a duramax has won! and yes there was dodges there all worked over running meth and everyhting! but they are all 5/6 sp's they pick a gear and thats it! where as the duramax works with three on average! love the cummins hate dodge! Simple!
Snowgoer05 3 years ago
dodge are the best periord.
ReDnEcK3052 3 years ago
I read some of the old comments here about cummins and duramax and wanted to point something out. The cummins is very undersquare and the duramax over. The cummins with its extremely long stroke will probably do better at sled pulls and less well at 1/4 miles than an oversquare engine.

diesel truckin your a faggot and got beat up a lot in high school......12 hours of my day are spent on builing motors and have of them are duramax diesels witch i have one now turning 1200 bhp on pump gas
gayrabbit 4 years ago
so dont crap talk so much and i do respect the cummins it makes more power than a lightning from the factory and most people dont realize its a straight 6 motor crushing v8 chevy diesels trust me i respect the cummins but u have to respect the twin kenne bells u dumb shit for brains were is your pink slip don't waste my time
gayrabbit 4 years ago
Again what do twin kenne bells have to do with any diesel? Where is YOUR pink slip? Stop wasting both our times.
DieselTruckin 4 years ago
u really dont know shit twin keene bells =9.84 in the quarter mile dumb shit just hold your thoughts and do us all a favor
gayrabbit 4 years ago
I think the faggot is you, after your name is gayrabbit. Also you are 25 years old and apparently have no idea how to grow up and act like an adult. All you do is talk a bunch of BS aobut your twin kenne bells that ONLY YOU care about, no one else does.
DieselTruckin 4 years ago
If you have a 1200 hp Duramax Diesel running on pump GAS you better drain that tank and put the proper fuel in. If you're so smart and building 1200hp diesel engines you should probably try to pull up to the right pump at the fuel station.
DieselTruckin 4 years ago
man you guys are funny. but dieseltruckin does have a point...pump GAS...im hoping that was just a typo but it not your stupid as fuck
Motoracer057 4 years ago
lol, yeah it's easy to get wound up. He might be running it on pump gas, but if he is, he sure ain't going to for very long! LMAO

what about Buck Spruill Duramax runnin Mid 9's thats a street legal machine.
DEMAXIN 4 years ago
The fastest truck is powered by a cummins.. It's owned by Stuckey Racing and runs sub 9.50's.. The duramax being referred to is a tube chassis with a fiberglass body in the shape of a truck. It's closer to a rail than a truck. It weighs in the 2700 pound range. I'm not brand biased, I just know the game well.. I've raced them all..
Diesel1021 4 years ago
hey id rather be cummin then strokin
duckownage1 4 years ago
Have you heard what the fastest truck in the world is now? It's a duramax running in the 8's at 165mph built by banks. Sorry cummins fans.
havocs29 4 years ago
fastest street legal diesel is a cummins, sorry powerjoke and durcrap fans
12vcumminsdiesel 4 years ago
the fastest diesel in a truck body is a Duramax but the fastest in the quarter is the Cummins..i beleive the fastest 4X4 Diesel truck is a Duramax also.
DEMAXIN 4 years ago
Id imagen any truck banks builds would be the fastest....i mean, its banks come on!
streetpunk99 4 years ago
That's what a lot of people think. Banks has a HUGE budget to work with, the small guys don't have the big budget and fancy tuning facilities, but they still outperform banks. The only thing banks has that is semi-impressive is the 7.96 tube chassis pickup BODIED drag vehicle. It isn't a truck, but it's still pretty neat.
DieselTruckin 4 years ago
yeah, I mean i don't own anything banks or even a cummins for that matter. but i do follow them pretty close and have alot of friends who are big into mods for cummins. Id just imagen that for banks being such a big and trusted name, they could pretty much do as they please, and could make things silly if they choose. like i said i dont know but there one of the best for a reason.
streetpunk99 2 years ago
They are not one of the best, but maybe one of the more well known. What they offer as far as tuning pales in comparison to what can be had elsewhere. For someone that just wants a few extra (clean) ponies they can get it from Banks, but if you're going to win at the dragstrip you won't do it with banks, not even with everything they offer unless they start selling true race parts AND the tuning to get you there.
DieselTruckin 2 years ago
lets see, Dodge has a 5.9 and now a 6.7 cummins, GM has a 5.7 then 6.2 then 6.5 and now a 6.6 who can't get it right?
1968weasle 4 years ago
Come on i will race lol not that was fastttt
CRDLIBERTY 4 years ago
Bye bye Dmax!! LOL. it's gonna be awhile before a "V"(more rotating parts) engine can catch up to a more efficient "inline"(less rotating parts) engine. This is all the more proof why the Dodge/Cummins combination dominates at the sled pulls, dragstrips, & is also the preferred truck for any serious hot shot freight drivers, due to their reliability, & pulling power. There, I said it. Too bad if you don't like the truth.
Cummins359power 4 years ago
The Duramax you see here beat this Cummins in the National title.
GMDieselpower 4 years ago
your fucking retarded, i own the diesel power magazine that features both these trucks and the cummins wins the final race XD
popatittyshit 4 years ago
You are retarded. Go watch 'National title orange crush.' I have the diesel power magazine too. They are in two different classes. 2wd vs. 4wd. The Duramax take the title.
GMDieselpower 4 years ago
Maybe it's because the dmax is a new engine and doesn't have the rep yet like the cummins, since the cummins has been out for years. But trust me, in time the dmax redp will be known soon.
havocs29 4 years ago
Check out what Gale Banks did with his duramax :O pretty sweet.
drktyreal 4 years ago
exactly we need more people like you out there tellong the straight up truth cummins is the best it a fact
dodgekindaguy 4 years ago
sorry, your right gmdieselpower, the orange chevy did win
i totally thought the cummins won but i guess iwas wrong haha
but the cummins is definately a better engine, the durmax makes power SOO much easier though when you chip it
popatittyshit 4 years ago
but, you are pretty stupid, seeing as the national title video ON HERE of these 2 trucks racing clearly shows the dmax only running a 10.5... this cummins is running a 9.9
popatittyshit 4 years ago
the duramax make more power stock. 6.6-365 hp 660 ft. lb. 6.7-350 hp 650 ft. lb. 5.9-325 hp 610 ft. lb.
mellenjuice 4 years ago
idc about mother fuckin durashit. Cummins is the only way, thats why it demolished that Dura. Both of those guys racing switch back and forth in the #1 and #2 spots in the DHRA, I've seen full articles on both of em in diesel mags. Cummins Power bitch
pbdevil13 4 years ago
And?
DieselTruckin 4 years ago
lol gayrabbit and havoc you are both gay. Havoc, 20+ boost on a gasser, you obviously know nothing about diesels. Rabbit, I wouldn't be so overly confident, a twinned cummins 4x4 can hit real hard, especially with the headstart it would have from being so quick off of the line.
razorscs 4 years ago
What the hell are you talking about? I own a diesel, not a gasser. I'm very educated on diesels. I own 4 of them with one of them being a drag truck that I personally built. Don't tell me I don't know anything about diesel. I would school you any day of the week.
havocs29 4 years ago
I've seen and read about both of these trucks before, and I like them both but I WISH that that was a K10, not a C10. That Dodge is 4x4... if the Duramax were, and even trucks like Dirtymax, could get into 9's easily. Maybe even lower...
