My euphonium professor is Dr. Belser at University of Wyoming. I wasn't getting trombone lessons last year, this year I will from the trombone professor.
Impressive. How long did it take you to get your range up there? I have to audition for colleges in about half a year from now, and my range is comfortable to about G above the bass clef staff. Of course, I can play up to about high Bb, sometimes C, but I can only do it when I have to, and it feels terrible. Sometimes I have to use pressure, because I have to deliver at whatever cost in a performance. 6 months ago I changed my embouchure from smile and press, and my range completely left me.
the best way to learn something on trombone (or any instrument) is slowly, methodically and with patience.
If it feels good, keep playing, if it doesn't, play something that does.
Blow don't push.
