I just wanted to comment on YOUR comment that you were outside his blaster range. This Megathron was a complete fail fit with 350mm Railguns. He had a 200mm railgun on there for gods sake. Once you got into knife fighting range the fight was over. Had he fitted with a disruptor, and blasters, and a hardener or two it might have been a fair fight. I chock this win up to luck on your part (at least to a degree) that this pilot had no idea what he was doing.
the mega had drones, if you pay attention there are parts you can see the x's with little red squares. a drake is a much better ship than most will tell you because no one flys them right. im amazed at how many tunnel minded people there are in EVE

HAM are Heavy Assault Missiles. They are sort of like Blasters of the Heavy Missile type. The shoot much faster and have higher damage outputs. The downside is that they are Unguided so they have a higher explosion radius and a slower explosive velocity than Heavy Missiles and their range is about 20 km or so.

Learn the difference between Tech level and Tier Level, the Kronos is a TECH 2 Gallente BS, the Megathron is the Tier 2 Gallente Battleship, Tier 1 = Dominix, Tier 2is the Megathron, and Tier 3 is the Hyperion. Also the Sin is a Tech 2 Gallente Battleship
drake is so under rated for pvp its scary, ppl just think it can only pve but train for ham's and fit a buffer tank and you can do 500dps and have silly hp :D its much better in small gang than solo thou because you dont realy have to fit a point if you have the right gang setup
That mega fit was bad (checked out fit on KB). Two open mid slots, T1 fit in lo sec is asking for death. Corpmates shouldnt let this happen to newer players. Newer players should never pvp in BS.
a drake taking a megathron is not un heard of... in fact my friend and I did the same fight with a bit differnt fittings, me being the mega and my friend in the drake. i lost by a lot

Yes! I love my drake like no other ship and people keep making fun of it, "sure you can survive for 10 minutes but you cant kill shit". @MazerRackham8 That's the key: blasters. Blaster fit mega is failfit. The only thing blasters are good for on a megathron is PVE cause they can't fucking hit anything that has a brain.
But i dont see that in this video, i see the drake going directly at the mega and even bumping into it and i see the mega sending missiles.... blaster mega at short range, the drake's tank goes down in a flash.

I just may be simply handicapped, but I was trying to make an EFT ship build off of your fit and even with all lvl 5 skills (selected on the program) it says I am over CPU and Power Grid. I am sure you get it all the time and I did read the comments, but so far I have (from low to high all T2) 3x BCS, 1x Dmg Control, 1x webber, 1x disrupter, 1x mwd, 1x Shield Extender (Large or Medium?), 2x Resistance buffers, 7xHAM T2 Launchers, and finally 3x Core Defense Field Purger T2.... Did I get close?
he might have implants in to put more power/cpu out? i am not a implant expert but if he put implants in to lower the power need and cpu need on some of the module's then he could fit it without much problem other then dieing of course... then he would be in shit!

no. Its actually an antique setup by now, I've improved upon it quite a bit, but the base is a shield buffer tank which maximizes hitpoints not passive recharge. Use shield extender rigs, DC, etc
those are rockets, i noticed that because of the tail fire, and you don't need great skills to get rockets to fire that fast, they already have like less than 10 sec launch rate.
I was trying not to exaggerate, and yes the mega not only had a bad fit but if you noticed it was shooting missiles and shield boosting. lol i wish i would get that lucky, my kill log would be overflowing if i was. worst thing that ever happened to me was that one time i had my ass handed to me by a moros, by by raven :( i think it had me down in like 10 sec. :(
3 ballistic control II's and a PDU but I use a damage control as the 4th low now to maximize the insane buffer tank.
if you guys like this video wait till I release the full account of my exploits in the HAMDRAKE! it will be more fast paced and with music and shiny transitions hehe :]
T2 HAMS. Only way to fly. I've had some other pretty sweet kills with this setup with some more well known pilots out there. Since this was my first time recording a kill it was pretty bad but they are getting more exhilerating :) I am making a slick EVE movie with all of the footage and some actual production value soon. I'll post it in the EVE forums section and put it on EVE files when that's done! Keep an eye out!

Enjoy a 550 DPS with only a T2 set up while having a 90k + tank.
I use 3 invuvs MWD+9km point and through myself in 2-3 BCs.

some mods use less cpu and less powergrid, try named mods or maybe even faction or officer gear.
oh and i tried this fit, i fit it easy. your doing something wrong.

as I said earlier, its standard HAM- buffer tank. full T2. plus mwd, disruptor and web
dps is around 415ish with an 85k hp effective buffer.
man I was such a little newb pirate when this took place :P
