Between the EV1 and now, GM would have been the premier car supplier to the world, all with American tech and manpower. What do we do? Bankrupt the company, federalize it, move all manufacturing overseas and we're still suppressing all this technology. Even battery technology is far ahead what the public is privy to.
What's the deal? 12 volts? That doesn't sound right at all. All electric-car capable electric motors I know of run from about 80 at the least to 144 volts or over. I don't think you can run sufficient amps at 12 volts to move a 2500+ lb car at more than walking speed.
@starmanskye Maybe he was talking about the type of battery he had in it not the total volts. I thought the motor sounded odd though. That did not sound like a controller whine.
