@Dumpstermuffin1 Henry actually at this point only broke with the Pope, He had remained Catholic ( just not Roman) till his death. English was used after this for the common people, but the state remind for most part Latin for official occasions. Large parts of the service was still Latin right up to the time of the 1649 Commonwealth.

Henry VIII planned one for Jane Seymour had she survived the birth of their son, but he didn't bother for his last three wives. @JessicaLouiseMusic Because Anne was never seen as Henry's legal Wife as the Catholic Church refused to grant an annulment between Queen Kathrine of Aragon and Henry VIII, so Anne had no legal right or claim to the throne. Plus the fact that she was the reason Kathrine was banished from court and everybody loved Kathrine and thought of anne as a whore :)

@JessicaLouiseMusic Because she was a commoner, she had influence on henry, who put England in a delicate situation, she was one of the reason queen catherine of aragon was exiled and some even said that anne boleyn was a protestant. people do not like when things change too fast. I think that it is the main reasons but if i'm mistaken, please let me know, i'm not an expert in tudors' history.

you have got the information wrong underneath the video. Her coronation took place on Sunday 1st June, and she was 6 months pregnant, not two. She gave birth in September.

@TudorRose85 In "Anne of a Thousand Days" that was an exaggeration, in many ways. A lot of artistic play there. The actual event had most people cheering on the event. There were those who protested but actually few. Most of those who did not approve either stayed away or stayed silent. The Catholic Church and the Spanish that were there wrote many negative reports to Spain and Rome of this event. So these get used these days for productions, Sells Better!!!!!

@TheStarSorceress: No. Historically it never happened. There wasn't a lot known about William Brereton, and they added some things to his character that weren't true historically. He was never asked by the Pope or Chapuys to kill her. Even though they fictionalized many things about him, he was one of my favorite characters on The Tudors (which is mostly because I like James Gilbert, the actor).

Actually, after Jane gave birth to Edward, Henry was already planning a lavish coronation ceremony that rivaled Anne's (originally it was postponed due to the black plague/Henry wanted to make sure the baby was a boy 1st). But, tragically, Jane died from childbed fever less than 2 weeks later.

@divagirl408 As much as I love The Other Boleyn Girl, I have to agree...but I think the reason for that is because TOBG was so revolved around Anne and Mary that it didn't give you a real look into the Tudor Period, while in The Tudors, it's just the opposite - exquisite scenery, and it shows you how things were, while there's no interaction between the Boleyn sisters. But the core of TOBG is the sisters, so I think that's why. (:
