Metal Gear Solid Psx and Gamecube Comparison

Nothing will ever beat an original, that's how it has always been since remakes begin to surface. i haven't played the original only twin snakes, i thought it was a great game, so i must assume that the original may be greater thanks to the nostalgia fact that all gamers feel while playing it

I know sounds wierd but "eyeless" meryl and snake looks better to me. They're like books vs movies. You can by yourself imagine how they look, feel. In their own way they obtain so much more depth and emotions than the "eye" versions.

Of course the visual on the GC are better, but Metal Gear Solid has such a good plot and gameplay, visuals really don't matter to me. In fact I think having worse visuals means you focus on these aspects more so for the PS1 wins (plus you you can't beat the original)

I'd recommend playing both, play the original first, then the remake, it's interesting to have experienced both.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but what you said does not qaulify as an "opinion". It qualafies as a claim of what would someone consider a "fact". Which in this case is a lie. Any website can proove that statement of yours wrong. And besides, you don't have any evidence that you actually played both games, so how can we believe you ?

Anyway, I can't play both games, because I don't have a friggin' GameCube (and I don't think it's a good idea to spend my entire money on a game console just to play one stinkin' game). And if you think about it, the PlayStation console and the GameCube console are basically the same thing (graphics don't make a big deal here, if you see it carefully) What you need to carefully study are the differences between these two games. There's lots of 'em .

Yeah they did a lot of changes for MGS1 for the GC version, it's certainly a different experience.

Some of them I am fine with, others, not as much, I do think playing both is good though.

Wiis are getting really cheap also btw, backwards compatible you know.

I also meant that the GC is much more powerful than the PS1 for graphics hardware, which is obvious.

They should've made the sequel with MGS2's engine instead of the super mario+matrix engine.
