  • Its 2010 now, close to 2011 and i´ve stopped trying to understand this whole mess.

    Not long ago i was reading rumors about the court of law (for a lack of a better word) in iceland and its increadible how corrupt it is.

    For instance. On a meeting once person X attack person Y (Y being one of the idiot bankers who started this mess) and later on person X was actually one of the jury´s of Y´s case

    Altough just rumors but came from a fairly legit source.

  • if i love country after canada i will say icleand .nice people even the police never hold gun no much crime like US or even racist this like this fucken holland and england god bless this country

  • So did the protest help any? it looked intense. (in a good way!) :)

  • Why are they speeking japanese?

  • @oldhank2003

    Why are you speaking Croatian?

  • Not England(Which singlehandedly consists of 8 regions). It is the British Government that labeled Landsbanki as a terrorist syndicate. But then it was labeled as "were not talking to you", or somthing in that order.

  • Wow, who would expect a derranged antisemite to be commenting on a protest in Iceland...

  • no wonder why there is a collapse they are trying to drown this country

  • no one cares.

    I keep seeing your comments, your wasting time, NO ONE CARES

  • nv821 -- OO OK -- YOU got a big loan from USA ... right.

  • those seem to be some angry people there.. kinda scary..

  • -- RUSSIA stepped in and bailed ICELAND out of Hyperinflation and economic depression .. I think people of Iceland should be thankfull for this and expell USA military out of THERE ,

  • We have had no loan from Russia and it is unlikely to happen. There is also no US military here anymore. They left in 2006.

  • we havent got any loan from russia yet... and USA army left two years ago...

    iceland is far away from being saved from depression

  • You are not to smart dude....the US Military has not been in Iceland for a few years now.....stop hating on your own country..dumbass

  • @MusicDemonAndYaoi the bank crashed because icelandic bosses was stealing money together with their friends in icelandic companies and all were cheating with numbers!!!! Icelandic politics was not doing their jobs because they felt like the best in the world suddenly!! Corruption in Iceland is something big among certain people!!! Plus in matter of Israel, icelanders has no idea what is going on in the middle east and still condeming Israel!!!!

  • Remember who you are, your people made the strongest armor had the strongest ships and were the strongest warriors.You lived without their currency before you are hunters good hunters at that remember your rite

  • Good for you icelanders it good to see you guys get out and protest what these central banks are doing. This hyperinflation only buys a little time but in the end most of the world will be alot poorer from it. Im sorry to see what is happening around the world, know this everyone I know in america is suffering too right now. My folks house dropped from 900,000 to 500,000. Stocks dropped 30-40% which isnt the worst that could happen. Hang on the worst is yet to come.

  • Are you kidding?

  • meanypants

  • we're next buddy, so you can have the honor yourself

  • Canadians are a wee bit too much panzy's to do anything about it.

  • I pray for the good people of Iceland. They are going through terrible times and I hope it will not end with violence. They are a wonderful group of folks and I wish them well.

    I hope this will work out OK soon.

    ~~~ Chuck Schoon
  • I feel so bad for the average people on the street. It's not their fault. They're not the ones who made these careless financial decisions--the bankers did! I hope Icelanders pull through this one.
  • I don't see how I, myself or the rest of the Icelandic population ow YOU anything. However the banks do.
  • Actually, i wish we wouldn't get any loans.
    This thing would get done with sooner. Less for the general public to pay for, which is the right thing to do in every right mans thinking, since the general populace should not be responsable for private company's.
    A lot of people will be loosing their money, but what's the right thing to do?, people or the money owners? You will hear a lot of hard stories, and I wonder, do non-Icelandic depositors have exlusive rights on those?.
  • The founding fathers in America warned against central banks. It's too bad Iceland is going in the wrong direction. It's going to happen in America too. WAKE UP! It's the fault of the government. You don't need more government to fix the problem. You need freedom FROM government. People need to be free to keep their wealth from their labor.
  • mótmæla!!!!!!!
  • Let fly the black flag! -(A)-
  • -(^A^)- YAY!
  • The world is amazing... who could guess the first european revolution in 21st century... would occur in Iceland !!!
    (Iceland was reported as the happiest society in world in 2007).
  • come to europe...)
  • Scary.
    Civil unrest could be commonplace before we know it.
  • This is just protest. Its part of a democratic world
  • yeah, that's terrifying... people peacefully gathering in solidarity to ask for their rights
  • Hahaha sheer terror
