  • my favorite british invasion group

  • I've always had great admiration and liking for The Searchers, in all their line-ups. They were particularly good at covering other artists' songs. The problem is: competent as this version is, The Ronettes' original is a genuinley spiritual experience every single time one hears it.

  • Nice Ronettes's cover!

  • Got to admit it took guts to cover Ronnie's song.

  • Sweet !!!

  • Have not heard this before. Its not Ronnie, of course, but not bad.

  • A little pretty, delicate, wonderfull, sweet song. Hi guys.

  • Sorry Ronettes, for this insult. I agree it is TERRIBLE rubbish!

  • los Searchers eran un buen grupo, pero aquí la cagaron bien.

  • They ruined it!! Ronnie's version is The ONly version!!!

  • The Ronettes' version will always be the superior version. The 1964 version by The Essex comes a close second, followed by Reparata and the Delrons in 1970.

  • @Soapking1965 Be my beazaby as murry the k used to say .

  • I just love this. x

  • The '60s gave so much to the teens of those days. I think all living in that era were and are very lucky to have been there. Haven't heard this 1 for ages. Tks. alot :)

  • Wow, this is the one-and-only-Wall-Sound by Phil Spector.

  • Another r&b number that the searchers did was does she really care for me which was originaly recorded by ruby and the romantics on kapp records like the searchers [ that song hasnt seen the light of day in youtube yet ] .

  • on the american lp record cover they gave credit to the wrong songwriters it reads mosley swearingdon it should be the phil spector gang

  • Brilliant song apart from Frank Allan's voice ! Thanks for posting

  • Thats cos Frank Allen couldn't sing. He replaced Tony Jackson - what a joke

  • Frank Allen can sing, it's just a bad version!!!!!!!!!!

  • @noahwayne Tell it like it I S Is, not W A S was, I loved 'em but, The Searchers should have been pronounced DEAD when Tony Jackson left!

  • @9erfandex If he hadn't had such a big old ego, willing to share lead vocals, he wouldn't have had to leave. Then Chris Curtis could have stayed on, and both men may still be alive!!!!
