@mangafreek honestly ive tried the danelectro's out and they arent really that bad but when you become more into like a gear nerd i am then you start to hear the bad things, here are the reverb pedals i own ehx holy grail, ehx holier grail, ehx holiest grail, boss rv-5, hardwire rv-7, line 6 verbzilla(algorithm version), tc electronix nova reberb system, ehx cathedral reverb the list goes on and on but yea i mean i have been collecting for the past 11 years im 20 now so i have about 153 pedals
@Morethanl1f3 hahaha wow thats a nice collection btw, but I'm just 14 now and I am about to buy my first effect pedal for my guitar. I've been into surf rock for a while now but untill now I miss that fresh surf sound and I am afraid that I don't have the bucks for those pedals that you just listed, so would you recommend this pedal to my circumstances?
@mangafreek any spring reverb should do i say start low first if u are starting for the FIRST time then work your way up and progress your way up to higher end pedals but if you want you can always do 63 spring reverbs or just regular also delay pedals with short slap back echo can give you that so any delay pedals can give you that sound too =] honestly i wouldnt use any delay or reverb stuff from danelectro doesnt sound too great i would say maybe a grade higher hope this helps g'day
@Metallicaforever95 reverb pedal gets you a wide filling sound with a nice smooth low sustain like your playing in stadium and arenas meaning it helps you to sound non garage band play like sounds thats my opinion i love reverb pedals and delays =D been collecting them since whe i was 13 im now 20 and i have 43 different delays and 12 different reverbs from Empress, eventide, mxr carbon, tc nova, boss dd20, nd line 6 dl4 MODDED
didnt know there were pedals that did dead bats, i noticed one of Vox's brian may amps had a battery simulator in it ( i think it gave 8.9volts or somthing similar.
danelectro actually make an ac adapter that can power them properly or power them improperly check it out! the Dan Electrode.

It actually sounds BETTER when the battery dies.

I'd say spend the saved money for a tuner :D ... but it still sounds good.

Is this a good pedal to get a good surf rock sound or is a danelectro blt a better choice?
mangafreek 1 year ago

Morethanl1f3 1 year ago
@Morethanl1f3 It's a shame because I dont have a chance to try it out before I get to order it via the Internet. Do you own one of these?

hahaha the dead battery set up would be cool if u can time it exactly so u'd get it by then end of a gig lol
gofot9 2 years ago
There are pedals that simulate dead batteries. Also I imagine you could get it sounding like that after circuit bending it.

Sounds good. Why spending 10 times as much for another pedal?
hopeforsalvation 3 years ago 11
@hopeforsalvation you spend more because most of the time (NOT ALL THE TIME) but most of the time you pay by the sound
