The Hip-hop dance commercialised in video song is nothing but poor choreography with a lot of kamasutra inuendos. Sorry to say that Janet, Britney and those of their sort rarely perform as dancer, but merely as pop stars selling their flesh and image on stage/video. The true dancers are off screens, or in the background...

@Nachannachle I agree for the most part but it's called choreography for a reason I suppose. No one is really "Dancing" unless it's a freestyle. Michael Jackson used choreography all the time and people still consider it dancing. You might wanna watch "The Knowledge" video from Janet, which is a much more emotional dance piece.

Janet moves are far from simple. Some are simple to learn, but they majority of her moves are complicated. The only artist now that gives Janet flavor is Ciara. Ciara's dance moves are complicated as well. Janet is hands down the best. The reason her move "looks"easy is because she is a natural born dancer. Some of the other artist that are out are "taught" dancers.
