Ohh I wish my cat will eat a whole prey. I tried to give her a feeder mouse and she ended up playing with it on my carpet! The best I can do for her is RMB. Its great watching a cat doing what nature has intended for it to do for millions of years.

That's a nice concept, but he can do without the feathers, feet, beak, etc. Apparently you like birds guts and feathers on your carpet. Nice.

You know something, i had not thought of feeding a cat like this, but upon reflection, I imagine it's a very healthy way to feed her/him. I've got a Bengal cat - and although I'm not in a situation housing-wise where I could do it daily, it could be a treat. Any pointers on what sort of rodents to avoid?

All felines are obligate carnivores and cannot survive on vegitarian diets. So no. Besides this, cats have zero ability to digest raw vegitation at all. They are truely meat eaters in every way.

Yes, they also get rodents. Chompy's favorite thing to eat is rats, actually. ;-) Heres a list of what we feed: *whole small chicken *quail *mice *rat *rabbit *crickets *cut up whole chicken *chicken necks/ wings *various organs/ trim meat *ostrich when available *large chunks of fish (occasionally-generally when we are given it from the local fishermen)

Anyways, you can either raise chickens or buy frozen chicks in bulk through the mail. -I do both.
