Why create the world if they're gonna destroy it? Trolling?

They're either:

A: Some highly evolved galactic tricksters

B: Evil forces of chaos who are lying to disillusion the Captain

C: Gods who are just testing Falcon's determination and will to see if he's worthy of his title

D: The programmers of the game screwing around with us

All-in-all kind of a poorly done and thought up plot ending... but still a great game.
