My best female singer since just a few days because back then I knew only her singles, but I'm finding out that most of her album tracks are also of the same quality. She had a style of her own since her early teens. Others I won't name needed more than a decade to achieve that!

I wouldn't describe Brenda Lee as a torch singer, skinjan, but she had a wonderfully unique voice and was capable of delivering a song emotively like few others. Break It To Me Gently has always been one of my favorites, but as much as I liked Juice Newton's (who also had an incredible voice), Brenda's just can't be beaten. One of the greatest hits of all time, IMO.
