this is so true, who ever likes this movie,,, doesnt belive in God,,, go ahead give a thumbs down on this comment,,, any haters means im right.... SHAME ON ALL OF U
i wuz gunna c tha movie a while ago but i didnt end up watching it anyway but yeah i disnt know it was about that its stupid that they even made a movie about that.
Thanks for spreading that around. My school does a Bible Service Project to do stuff that will help witness, and some kids from a class printed fliers out about The Golden COmpass saying the same message you did.
That's what I asked as soon as I heard about this. I thought that children wouldn't be able to comprehend such a message. But, there is a way to indirectly feed this stuff to children even if they don't know they're getting it. It's quite strange, but it happens.
Personally i dont think it matters if we see the movie or not we cant decide what pple do im personally rly religious but if i see this movie i have a mind of my own that no polar bear is gonna decide my faith.
Well, I can understand that. I agree, some people are smarter than to give into a subliminal message, but others, like little children, they are like clay. At a young age, anything can mold them, so exposing little children to such a message may have an ill effect.
But to those who are strongly rooted in faith may have the intelligence not to give into such a message.
I can agree with that i would be a little skeptical about having my chilren see this to be honest as well but its also a parents responibility so their children understand how to judge such ideas. At least we can have a decent conversation about such things wihtout swearin each other off like so many other pple do huh? haha. either way we all have to watch out how we react to peoples ideas no matter whos
I'm not watching either! And I hope no true follower of Christ will either!
I've read too many silly, unfortunate, immature opinions of this movie and books, all over the net, that its driving me insane! Unfortunately, despite the obvious facts...(I mean even from the Author himself) the misguided masses will ignore everything! I mean you tell them, "1+1 = 2" and they turn around and shout names, spit and slur that "1+1 = 5, and you'd know that if you did your math!"
I totally agree. With every known fact out there, there ALWAYS has to be a counter-attack. It's ridiculous. That's why I tried to approach this subject in a professional way. Not just shouting and cussing and looking like a complete idiot in front of the national public. Thanks for your comment. God Bless.
Yeah, there seems to be less of us out there today. I know I'm going to sound like an elderly person but the youth these days seem to just be getting stupider and stupider.
yeah. I've never really realized before. But since the internet it has unleashed so much of what people are REALLY thinking. You know they would never really say what they say, face to face with people. They know it too. Just imagine these forum debates in real place real person situation. Most of them would probably have nothing to say and leave. In anger of course, but knowing they are probably wrong too.
The Book Outright says it, the point is that the movie itself was does not. It is quiet in Part 1, but the sequels will be evil.
Author:
The whole point, to me, of ensuring that "The Golden Compass" is a financial success is so that we have a solid foundation on which to deliver a faithful, more literal adaptation of the second and third books. ... the religious themes in the second and third books can't be minimized..
... the National Secular Society - of which the author is an honorary associate - has now spoken out against the changes.
'It was clear right from the start that the makers of this film intended to take out the anti-religious elements of Pullman's book,' said Terry Sanderson, president of the society. 'In doing that they are taking the heart out of it, losing the point of it, castrating it ...."
For an Atheist organization to say this would mean it is true

It is hardly subliminal, dude.
It flat out says "we will kill god"... "original sin is wrong." so forth and so on. It is pretty blatant.

Read some excerpts from the books,if you can keep from vomiting.
It reads like poorly thought-out pornography.
He even has 2 12 -year-olds in bed together,if you get my meaning.
Not to mention 2 rebellious homosexual angels.
What a bunch of gold-encrusted fecal refuse.
