Awesome video! I'm also from Wesley Chapel, actually right behind the Weddington Optimist Park. Have you ever tried running a trommel or doing any other kind of prospecting? I'm getting the itch to start prospecting somewhere that has potential. I've tried Twelve Mile Creek but haven't had any luck.
i know where thats at. not far from charlotte i beleive. isnt there a bunch of historical places there? nice video anyway. im from wilkes county upstate. we got gold mines all around these hills. might want to check it out. thats a hot spot for placer gold in nc...
You ought to use a metal detector and maybe pan through some of the tailings for gold. With today's prices, you might have some cashola coming your way. Why not?

@dswa2286 After panning for half a day I found two small flecks. Never tried it again. Guess they found most of it back in the day.
