Regarding NAFTA, don't forget that Carlos Salinas lobbied hard for NAFTA and he signed it enthusiastically in 1994. Mexicans should thus take their complaints re. NAFTA to the Mexican govt. Poverty does have everything to do with culture. The Mexican culture doesn't value education much, hence they are poor. Mexican culture also overbreeds... they have far more kids than they can afford. So the kids are not disciplined and hence they get into trouble.
