it's a very good game. IMO a must play. I would get monster hunter 2nd G and use an English patch to translate it. freedom 2 is good, it's what i started with, but 2nd G is just so much better!

Im a big fan of Phantasy Star, but how the hell r u saying it's better then Monster Hunter? MH has better gameplay, better AI, Better customization,better graphics(not that it matters),way better monsters. And also PSO is more repetitive then MH because of the secret weapons one hopes to get after thounsands missions. People that shit on MH have no skill and they suck at difficult games. You dumb noobs!!

Actually three for PSP. And trust me you don't want another MH game, it's the same as the rest, they don't change much. Trust me if you want a good MMO experience on your PSP, than get Phantasy star portable. The wealth of content for that game is astonishing, not to mention it has a brand new award system, and they have removed seed missions where you have to purify fire and ice seeds. It's worth a play.

Sorry to say that Monster Hunter may not have changed much, but it's still a very good game. I'd suggest getting it as PSP is fun at the beginning...but after a while it gets boring. You can basically pass the game in less than a week. Where as Monster Hunter takes longer.

I've heard several conflicting U.S. release dates for this game. it could be anywhere May to Dec. of next year before this game comes out in the US.

But look at the size of the monster that knocked the player off of that brigde! I've never fought anything that big! (I'm going to get MHF2 soon, because your profile from that game can be uploaded into this one. MHF2 will be my first step into the Monster Hunter Universe. Wish me luck!) The version they have on play asia is the japanese only, it hasnt been released in english yet but in spring of 2009 it is comming to north america, If you order it from play asia there is a website where you can have the game converted to english via USB
