Styles make fights. If Pacquiao-Mayweather were to happen, I don't see Floyd winning, based on what Pac has been doing recently with his boxing career.
Pac can take a hit, none-stop relentless attack, fast accurate and power punch in BOTH hands. Mayweather genius defense, fast counter-puncher and reflex.

Styles make fights. If Pacquiao-Mayweather were to happen, I don't see Floyd winning, based on what Pac has been doing recently with his boxing career.
Pac can take a hit, none-stop relentless attack, fast accurate and power punch in BOTH hands. Mayweather genius defense, fast counter-puncher and reflex.
Pac just has more advantages than Floyd. Lets face it; Pac will let you hit him so he can come back at you with 2-3 more punches. Floyd shells up on flurries and has troubles against lefties

fair point but factor this in, pac lets people hit him to get a punch in. Let's face it he's extremely fast but his defense is lacking. Floyd is smart and can make it frustrating he'll get in a couple shots and get his guard up quick or back out quickly, before pac has a chance to retaliate. I think floyd is a little faster than pac and also has better footwork. Floyd is a master at adapting and systematically breaking down his opponents, look at what he did to zab. It'll be a great fight tho

Both Pac and Floyd are tremendous boxers. The mark of a GREAT fighter is overcoming obstacles/challenges, and going up against someone who's considered by many as a threat.
One can't deny that Pac is on this course and Floyd has a HISTORY of avoiding fighters who has a good chance of beating him. He calls himself 'Money' yet the biggest fight of his career is with Pac, and he makes lots of excuses to avoid this fight. Floyd has amazing skill set; it's a shame that he refuse to test himself!

Floyd fough Osacr almost 2 years earlier and at full JMW, he did not demand a catchweight. Pac made Osacr come to 147 lbs. Pac couldn;t even finish Maragrito at JMW, and he made him come to 150 lbs.
Anyway, pac had a draw and a disputed 1 pt SD against Marquez, Floyd shooled Marquez 12-0.
You cannot comapre opponents as they fight at different times and at diferent weight classes.

Floyd/Marquez agreed to a base weight of 144lbs, but each fighter could come as high as the WW limit of 147lbs but each lb over 144 would cost $300K. Floyd chose not to drain and came in at 146 lbs and paid the $600K as per the contract.

Floyd beat Baldomir who at the time was the legitimate champin and undefeated in 21 fights and 7 years. Cotto and Clottey were undefeated in a combined 3 fights.
FLoyd fought Baldomir and Mosley who were the legitimate and lineal WW champions, pac fought Cotto who won a vacant title against Michael Jennings.

Pac lost his 12th fight, 28th fight, 44th fight, almost equally spaced out at approx a loss every 15 fights. He has now gone 13 fights without a loss...he is due.
Pac will beat Mosley in May 2011, that will make it 14 since his last loss and then he will lose to Floyd right in fight 15, right on schedule :-)

Clottey is the only opponent so far tha's never been knocked down or ruffed up, and that's what he didn't want the most. He perfered loosing than loosing the same way the other guys did.
