Yes... but if you want to talk officially released outside of Japan, this was WAY after this game was released. We're talking during the time of the Neo Geo Pocket Color in 2000 or 2001. Then you have the GBA and DS games between 2002-2004. To this day, only three Puyo games were released outside of the US, and it looks like there won't be any more coming out outside of Japan.
puyo puyo, robotniks mean bean machine and kirbys avalanche are practically identical

@neppaz
That's because the last two were localized versions of Puyo.

@Milotyland You can play Puyo Puyo 15th Anniversary online on a NDS, if you own one.

Hey, Ida-chan, do you remember Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine?
Y'know, the clone of this game made for American markets?

Kirby's Avalanche is exactly the same as rhis!
AlexisDark 3 years ago
That's because Kirby's Avalanche was based on this for the English speaking audience.
Idachan 3 years ago

Hardcore Japanese players can put on a better show than me, though.
Idachan 4 years ago

well, at least i can do the chains faster than you :P
vlaaaaaaa1 5 years ago
Yeah, I tend to be rather... slow with chains. :-P
Idachan 5 years ago
With luck I can get 9, it is extremely diffucult though, usually I end up between 4 and 7. Puyo Puyo is addicting. ^_^
travelsonic 4 years ago
I agree that the game is seriously addicting. I got two videos of me playing Kirby's avalanche and SPP2 on my profile.
Ax extreme difficulity none the less.
BTW, highest combo is a 15 ;)

Your chains are great! However there is an easier way to sends stuff to the CPU. Not sure how I can explain it though... >_<
