I also own this amp since about 3 years. Now I bought a marshall footswitch with the intention to change from clean to crunch sounds.... But, I cannot find a blug for the footswitch, is it at all possible? do you have an advice? thanks, cheers!!!
Hi! dude i have a marshall vs8040 (i think about 10 years old) and i absolutely love it! i can´t ask for more. and the guitar, i almost buy a vintage but suddenly the prices got stupidly high so i got an squier standard telecaster (best decision for sure) If somebody tells me that a telecaster and a 10 year old combo(for 80€) could sound so great i wouldnt beleave it. so keep on cuz youre going very well!
@KingScottProductions It's really good. I doubt it would out perform your Les Paul however. But yeah, the low E string can ring on for a good 6 seconds before it starts to become inaudible. If it is one of these Vintages your planning on getting, then they are really good. Definitely better than the Epiphones, just from build quality and the pick-ups, and these are a good £100 cheaper to boot. :)
@ShootaFodder Sustain is about the only good thing about my LP. Sadly, the build quality is really terrible. There are small hairline cracks in the wood, there's a really big one at the bottom at the.. strap button (?), and already the wiring is kinda.. "iffy". Thanks for telling me, looks like if I want sustain I'll be doing it Gary Moore style... cheers :)

Man, great playing. I'm hoping to get one of these soon, what's the sustain like?
