One of my favorite covers by Dax!

He makes minor mistakes with this song during many performances...but, given that the song is about "smoking too long," I find the forgotten lyrics to add to the overall theme.

There are certainly flawless versions of this song out there, but I prefer Dax's more organic renditions.

Yeah, he messed up a few times on this one. He said he was kind of nervous and/or excited that night so... I don't know.

Heh, Dax fucking up a song is still better than most other musicians playing perfectly.

I don't think I've heard him make it through this song without a wrong chord or starting in the wrong key or forgeting some of the lyrics for a while now. Last summer I was actually getting used to the second verse ending with: "I got... uh... somethin somethin somethin... and... uh... opium in my SHOOOOES!" :)

Ha ha, yeah for sure. He seems to mess up a little in a lot of songs but I think it makes it more interesting in a way.
