  • Hi, does anyone who own this camera know if its good with portraits? I'm thinking of getting a new camera but i need it to be good with Portraits.

  • @princ8811

It's ALRIGHT with portraits with the Kit lens. get a Prime 35mm DX lens and this will be a perfect budget combonation

  • also is the lens on the camera detachable cause im looking for a camera to take to a wrestling events

  • @FNTrueWrestling

Low Light- Night shooting is mediocre, but with a little bit of lighting and the flash on the pictures are spot on.

Lens- Yes it is detachable and can be substituted for and other AF-S lens Nikon makes for a flawless transition.

You can use AF- D and other lenses but they won't auto focus because of the type of motor the D3000 and others have.

  • How does this camera do in low light situations

  • with this camera, what do you recommend for beginner photographer?

  • @Caram3lLov33

What exactly do you want me to recommend?

  • @techgeek5212 sorry- other items that should be purchased. Especially for travel.

Also, what do you suggest for humid climates?

    Thank you

  • @Caram3lLov33

Case- Lowepro Flipside 200/300 whichever one fits your needs. 30 is bigger but more expensive

Humidity Isn't a big deal, because all of the lens gaskets seal tightly, and you're always going to have to deal with fogging up when you take the lens cap off with heavy humidity. just carry a lint-free cloth with you so you don't have to wait on the camera lens to de-fog on it's own.

    Lens Cleaning kit

Set of 52mm screw Type Lens UV Lens Filters.

  • @Caram3lLov33 hey i think this is great for you learning how to use diffrent lens and how to work thm you dont need a huge expensive camera this is perfect good step into dslrs for photographers!!!!!

  • PLEASE MAKE SOME MORE VIDEO'S...IM SO HAPPY I FOUND THIS ONE... LEARNED MORE TODAY THEN I HAVE IN A MONTH...Thanks

  • @missglamourgirl1992

You can't set a timer to shoot continuous, you can only set the manual shutter button to continuous. I wish you could though.

  • HIII!!!! I have the D3000 and Im not sure if I heard correctly...did you say you can set your timer to continuous????

  • Brilliant review, brilliant music. The best review for a camera I have seen so far. But yet you only have 1 video? You're made to make videos, you are confident and seem to know what you are talking about. How about making some tutorials for the D3000? I'm sure you would get a whole load of views. Cheers!

  • what's a mega-pixel? and why should I be concerned with it?? thank you

  • @moviedude22

A mega pixel has to do with the amount you can enlarge a picture without seeing the individual blocks that make up an image (thats what a pixel is)

Generally speaking the more mega-pixels you have the more you can enlarge the picture and it still look like it should.

You should be concerned because if you buy the 6.1 Mega-Pixel D40 Vs. 10.4 MP D3000 you will only get about half the size that you would out of the D-3000.

    More Mega-Pixels= Good

  • @techgeek5212 hi? cn i hve a question?! ahm.what the differents of d5000 and d3000?! pls answer my question! tnx. i want to buy but i dont know what the nice d5000 or d3000.

  • @The19Aztig

The d5000 is basically the upgrade to the d3000.

D5000 has video, a larger sensor, and a swilviling screen. If money is no object definitely go for the d5000. But for the price the d3000 is also a great buy. Which is why I have one.

  • THE battery is included! I am from europe by THE way! I bought it today and i like it so much

  • @bacodrinker thank you for your reply...i got it and im waiting for it to arrive...i just hope i will give justice to the camera...im reading digital slr cameras and photography for dummies now hoping it will enlighten me.. :)

  • hi im getting this cam at the site you mentioned here...im confused though, does it include the battery? it seems like in the site (adorama) it doesnt come with anything else except the camera itself...am i wrong? Pls help me...im not placing order till you reply...thanks

  • @texas131025

    send me the link

I'm 99% sure, if its the new one then definitely. The refurbished I'm 99% Sure it does but just give me the link for insurance

  • @techgeek5212 thank you for your reply...i bought it 2 days ago and im waiting for it to arrive...now the next thing is learning how to take good pic and learning how to use the camera coz i don't want to use it like a "glorified" point and shoot...

  • @letseewhathappens101

yes you can get a remote for it.

its infrared wireless so it works just like most TV remotes

  • I'm new to DSLR cameras, but I would like to know how to get the aperture to 2.8f. I've seen other D3000 at that aperture, but I can't get mine to that low. May is the lens? Please, tell me. Thanks.

  • @NewbiePlayer

yes it is your lens the 18-55 only goes fown to f/3.5, to get to 2.8 a new lens is needed

  • Thanks for the review!

  • @nikitabarvinok

    no prob

  • it's a 3 ich LCD

    xd

  • @vermiceles

    aight den cuh

but no seriously, i realized that like a minute after the video was up

  • @vermiceles

i realized that i gthought it was 2.7 because thats what on the D5000

    a

  • the 18-55mm lens that comes with the camera has essentially no zoom. 55mm is approx 1x zoom or normal

  • are those the lens that come with the camera body? and if they are, approximately how much X# zoom does it have?
