  • I Want Revenge! bit . ly/jerku

  • Return of a champion. So excited that I Want Revenge is finally returning to racing. I can't wait to see how he'll fare with Regal Ransom and the others in the field in the 2010 Suburban Handicap at Belmont Park. I really believe that along with Quality Road that I Want Revenge was the other colt from the 2009 3yr.old crop that had super star written all over him. I hope he comes back racing as well as he did when he was a 3yr.old. I'd love to see him make to one of the Breeders Cup races.

  • IWR get his revenge this Saturday!!

  • Excited to see him run next month!

  • Im speechless!

  • He is on the comeback trail and is currently jogging at his owners farm. Should make his first start in time for Saratoga.........I hope he gets his revenge.....

  • Looks like he got his 'revenge'. Great race! :D

  • i wonder if he will still run next yr or did they retire him?

  • joe talamo .. like jb guce in our country .. fantastic jockey .. nice instinc and intelligence .. he is my idol ..

  • that is pathetic

  • yeah the reason why he got injured was because he saw Talamo, spooked and hurt his foot.

  • he injured his knee. Talamo is a very skilled jockey, one of my favorites

  • Well, bless I Want Revenge, Talamo, and Mullins. When good sense and compassion prevail, everyone wins. I know it's got to be disappointing for Talamo--he most likely would have won the Derby at age 19, but he will definitely be back for the Kentucky Derby 2010.

  • Yup, they made the right desicion by puttinh the horse first.

  • Unfortunately he won't be back for the 2010 Derby. The Kentucky Derby is strictly for 3 year olds (Along with the Belmont and Preakness). I Want Revenge will be 4. Hopefully he will have a solid 4 year old career elsewhere though!

  • the guy was talking about Talamo being back for 2010 not the horse lol

  • Actually I think "he" was referring to Joe. Yeah he'll definately run the derby one day!

  • West Side Bernie ran a valiant race here, expect to be in the mix today! Godolphin entry is tuff! watch Summer Bird in the Ark Dby, exellent prep! and Pioneerof the Nile looks good - tuff derby today!

  • He just scratched! I bet money on him. I feel aweful, but at least they found out something was wrong with him before he ran.

  • Yah im so mad at that! he was deff my fav, but at least they found out before he ran, hopefull he'll get better soon!

  • Yeah that's always good news that they found it before something bad happened. But so far it looks like the track is setting up nicely for Friesan Fire, I like Pioneer but he's never run on dirt, so we'll have to wait and see :)

  • Oh crap, he was scratched! NO!

  • Quite some horse, I really hope he wins The Derby today!

  • hurray! derby day tomorrow! i'm stil deciding who i want to win.

  • OMG!!!

  • IEAH Stables all day

  • the ky derby winner 2009 right there.

    horse is sick

  • i hear alot of neg talk about iwr. all i know is hes the fav in the derby . im bettin him to win, hold me back second

  • "And they're off on the Wood Memoria....NOOOOOOOOOOOO"

  • Everytime I watch this race,I realize more and more what a garbage field this is.

  • Línea del Argentino Pietro!!!! Quién sabe? Nicólas quedó loco!!! I WANT REVENGE TRIPLECORONADO AMIGOS.

  • I agree

  • That was a great run. Does anyone know what Casino Drive is up to these days?

  • i want revenge totally overrated. wont even hit the board

  • Simply Rediculous. He is gonna be tough to beat in Louisville. I would be surprised if he didnt win the Kentucky Derby. Hopefully he can give us a run for the triple crown, i was only 3 when affirmed did it last. And smarty jones failed me in the Belmont. Barbaro got hurt. PLEASE, I just want to see it happen once!

  • I want revenge is hard not to favor. With a come back like that I would say he is the horse to beat in the Run for the Roses.Unless those other horses he just beat are just garbage, and I tend to think not..IWR should win it.

  • Those other horses are garbage, believe me

  • Why should I belive you? I think I have put in my time to have the knowledge to make a pick without speculating based on an opinion.Bet me then! You say IWR wont win based on the other horses in your opinion are garbage.

  • Why the hell would I bet you? I don't even know you.

And I never said IWR would'nt win.

I said the other horses are garbage, and basically they are if you compare them to other 3 year olds.

  • So you didnt have to say IWR wouldnt win.And why would you bet me because you dont even know me? I didnt know anyone bet anyone on the sole premis that they knew them. Get real dude!

  • You didnt have to say that IWR wouldnt win .Your arrogant comment about the other horses being garbage was enough to say that his win was empty one.

  • Beautiful run. Absolutely nice. See, those are the horse's you need to watch. The ones who come from behind. Study their stats. And I love to watch when they begin to kick in, the power they have. Very nice.

It is sad Quality Road and Square Eddie are not running. But we need to take care of their health and have no accidents this year. I just hope they have some sort of rememberance for Eight Bells. She was beautiful and ran her butt off. So sad to have her gone. God bless her.

  • i'm so sad, quality road and square eddie have been scratched....that means three great horses out because of injuries (old fashioned too)

  • I know the owner of I want revenge!

  • Quality Road have a cracked hoof and may not run

Friesan Fire Had a slow start to his carrear, but has crushed the horse he lost to 3 times sence and his mile times are getting faster and faster

  • I hear THis horse Quality Road a Frieson Fire are the favourites for the derby this year. Im excited too see what happens

  • Desert Party is a arab horse they rarley show up in the derby

Pioneer of the NIle (Baffert's losing streak can't last for ever I like Nile's chance, to come in second)

Musket Man He's won, but the illinios derby and Tampa Derby had noone in it

Friesan Fire ( I like Gabriel Saez)

  • snamuels - true. Two. Now, is two starts really enough to convince you? Just two? I think I'd need more to back up my belief in him then just two starts!

  • sammiespitz - Want to know what's wrong? It' was ok for Big Brown to ahve a quarter carck, but now that Quality Road has one, he's suddenly a piece of...and a horse that only won twice on dirt os a God? Don't think so...

  • Correct, he's only won twice on dirt. But you didn't mention how many starts he has on dirt...two.

  • chicken salad out of chicken sh*t best perfomance ive seen by a3year old this year

  • Easy easy people. Come on. Relax. Yes, these are all Derby preps, and yes, the fields are definitely mixed, but the fact is, it is significant when the fav stumbles and it is significant when a horse against any field gets pulled outside and kick in another gear. Next thing you are going to say is it was 'staged' a G1 race? Come on now.

  • Durkin SCREAMS when a 1-2 shot loses two steps out of the gate? Get real.

Jock seemed to be prepping him for kentucky against a weak field by seeking out traffic.

Quality Road will DUST this horse.

  • Not impressive - wins ONE G1 race and you all think he's a God? c'mon..

  • Then explain to me the sudden worship of Quality Road for also having only one GI, plus less race experience, plus a cracked hoof. Yeah, next Big Brown....Next overhyped horse with too many screaming fans that will disappear after his three-year-old career is over.

  • Great raceand a good horse, but I think this year it's going to be Win Willy as the sleeper pick for the KY Derby. He just throttled Old Fashioned a couple weeks ago.

  • Talk about threading the needle moving through horses - at 1:36 he just about gets jerked to a standstill and then a few seconds later has to make his way through a hole that almost didn't exist. Bold ride on a courageous horse. Well done them.

  • All I can say is, WHAT A HORSE. I called 4 wide at the last turn, and guess what happen :)

  • I was going to pull for the 'Mousse, but now that he may be out for 6-12 months, I am going to pull for this horse, he's pretty classy. And Rachel Alexandra for the Oaks :)

  • everyone seems to be overlooking the fact that he did all the under a HAND RIDE. c'mon folks, even if the competition wasn't quite up to par, he could've beated them by even more if Talamo had so much as touched him with a whip. Clearly Talamo knew he could do it without any more encouragement, and now there is still plenty of horse left for the derby!

I'm with I Want Revenge all the way. Talented horse.

  • Keep the hand ride on the down LO!!! I want to make some scratch come Derby Day!!! Not sure if he can deal with a 20 horse field things change fast. 6-8 is different in a field but 20 gets crazy, and hopefully the Horse will control the race and not Talamo!!!

  • the race proves how good I Want Revenge is, and also proves how much better he is than his competition, i dont like saying the competition was horrible or anything like that, i like saying the winner was by far the best.

  • what about friesan fire...dont forget this horse

  • Overcome a disastrous start and caught in traffic in the homestretch and still won the race, very impressive. So this horse can come from behind, I guess Mullins has a new strategy in KD.

  • good performance by revenge but one of the weaker wood fields in recent times.

  • Btw anyone knows how big I Want revenge is? He looks big (tall and big).

  • I like Pamplemousse best, but as he is out very sadly with an injury, I'd stake my bet on I Want Revenge. Very nice Gotham and neat Wood.

  • I don't know about you, but it feels GOOD to be among the first 3200+ degenerates to watch this replay of the 2009 Wood. Spring had indeed sprung!

  • This was an AMAZING race by I Want Revenge. You would be crazy to discount him in any way going into the Derby. Also, Joe Talamo showed more poise than many older and more "seasoned" jockey's out there to not only not panic, but know that his horse was giving it his all and he NEVER touched the whip. He knew exactly what he had every step of the way. This was a fantastic prep for the Derby. I think there are many talented horses this year--I'll be betting on Smokin' Joe and I Want Revenge.

  • You are all forgetting Quality Road, Friesan Fire, and Dunkirk (if he makes it in). All are proven DIRT horses, and except for the likes of I Want Revenge, none of the west coast horses are proven dirt horses. I will pick an east coast horse for the derby over a west coast horse any day.

  • Don't forget about Friesan Fire people

  • I Want Revenge will be hard to stop in the Derby. An amazing run no doubt. Chocolate Candy rates a big look he will love the dirt and distance. I have questions about Pioneer of the Nile. Papa Clem has improved . The west looks best this year.

  • He will win the Derby.

  • Ha, if he is healthy the Pamplemousse will run past all of them!

  • The Pamplemousse is out for at least 6 months with a lesion on his tendon.

  • not sure who you're trying to impress. but itll be at least a year not 6 mths

  • Hey dumbass, I said AT LEAST 6 months, and that is what all the reports say. And I would think I would know more than you. Stop commenting, you dont know what you are talking about.

Now look whos doing the following.

  • Damn Talamo didn't even have to hit him.

  • That's right the West Coast will win the Derby, PON has beaten IWR twice, but that was on the cushion track and pro-ride. IWR goes out there and just dominates on dirt. This horse loves the dirt and will love the dirt at Kentucky.

  • Fantastic.

  • I Want Revenge is a monster! Pioneer of the Nile has beaten him twice. Chocolate Candy finished close behind him as a two-year-old, and Papa Clem finished in front of him, three races ago. The West-Coast has the best horses this year, and I have a feeling when Chocolate Candy hits the dirt, he is going to love it. Too bad that The Pamplemousse had to scratch today, because I think he would've run run a 1:35 mile and dusted P.O.N. and Chocolare Candy.

  • give me a break, Charitable Man would crush this horse in any given day, Wait till the champ runs next week at keenland and then goes straight to Churchill undefeated

  • WOW!

  • he did everything you could expect and more...but damn...he didn't beat a thing...

this was the worst WOOD i've ever seen.

  • I WANT REVENGE WILL winf the Kentucky Derby...Book it.

  • Terrible start, nowhere to run and bumped around like a bumper car and still won impressively.
