  • This song reminds me of someone I once knew. Harvey Dubs. Rest in Peace, Harvey. God love ya my friend.

  • I've got my 3 year old son hooked on this.

  • Seeexyyyy!!!!

  • @MultiDannyboy89 Bloomfield had great taste.

  • Thanks for posting this, one of the most beautiful and obscure songs of the last 1/2 of the 20th century. Why this hasn't been used as a soundtrack for a blanc and white movie shot in New York City at night is beyond me. Orchestral comp meets a jazz bedding on a par with something Felix Pappalardi might have come up with. I can see the closing credits of WOR TV in New York City when Million Dollar Movie was on in the 60's- b&w car headlights, steam rising from a manhole, swinging phone receiver-

  • This will always be one of my favorite instrumentals. Love those chords.

  • incredible gone music-so much talent!!

  • This album came after CHILD IS THE FATHER TO MAN so it wasn't a "prelude" to it, but it doesn't matter. They are both in the same vein. This was Harvey Brooks' first chance to really shine after playing quietly and unheralded in the background on so many sessions at that time. BEAUTIFUL INSTRUMENTAL TUNE.

  • DL the audio from this video at soundnabber doht cohm.

  • I always heard this at midnight - the opening tune to a radio program, it took me a while to find it.

  • My father's got it on vinyl and I've got it on cd... A great album.

I mean, I'm only 16 years old and I've been listening to such stuff for 4 years or so, and for the past year I've been listening almost solely to extreme metal, but, man, this one is what I call an all time classic, I'll never get tired of it. I bet my son will also buy it for himself when he starts discovering this kind of music, if the planet hasn't been destroyed before I have a son, that is.

  • @redl3ss well it will be destroyed before you have a son

  • @sorryass9988 Aw, come on; how about some 'cynical-optimism' ...,

  • @redl3ss That's the magic of real art. I always looked at this; as a prelude - to Al Cooper's Blood Sweat and Tears' "Child is The Father to Man" ...,

  • @MegaASHENAFI That makes two of us. Al Cooper's BS&T, was the most authentic combination of Rock and Jazz - for me.

  • - remainings of warriours' dreams -

  • Geniuses!!

  • This tune is way too short,

  • I still have this vinyl....love it

  • I first heard this song (Harveys Tune) the year it came out and so myself and our Garage Band tried to duplicate it as well as songs from Electric Flag, such as Groovin is Easy. Abt 1968 or 69. WOW! such beautiful songs! If only Harveys Tune was a longer song! If all I ever heard again was that song, it would be ok.

  • i have always loved this piece.

    gorgeous, atmospheric, sublime.

  • Reminder of a true Golden Age of music. Still one of my favorite LPs. Thank you my brother John for this gift. Miss you bro.

  • A masterpiece of playing technique and recording balance of every instrument,

  • Beautiful tune from a classic album!

  • just incredible!

  • Boy do I remember this alblum when it came out...many many moons ago, where did the time go.....

  • Who played tenor sax on this?

  • It just transports to another world.

  • @peachmelba16 - Amen to that, sister. Regards, The '62 Mathew St. Band (1 Man-Full Group Retro)

  • this is one of my all time favorites

  • this is great. still have a tape copy of this album.
