I've read a few reviews on the lunocet. They say it's geared for breaching and not much else as it drains your energy fast.

But it's soooooooooooo fast if I had the money I would buy one nad race in my pool...... i have a fear for the ocean or a lake......I hate looking around in the ocean or the lake cause I cant see and if I cant see i panic and end up almost drowning....... :'(

It is faster. Regular monofins use a bending motion to propel through the water, but the up stroke is stronger than the down stroke. The lunocet, however, uses a pivoting motion, like the fluke of a dolphin, and equalizes the up and down force of a kick, which makes it more energy efficient as well.
