  • @ 7:54 - I am laughing so hard! Stephanie Bennett plucks a single hanging-in-the-air-by-itself note on her harp...and then she smiles, winks, and flutters her eyebrows up and down. Such a delightful personality!!

  • This musical genre is so sorely missed. The bossa nova beat is right there. It's so positive, so alive. It makes you want to jump right in and play along regardless of one's musical ability.

  • Thanks for the posting...Great!!

  • Such a fascinating piece of footage of Ray Conniff and his singers and orchestra here. One doesn't often get to see behind the scenes like this but I for one really enjoyed watching this. Top that off with the great music they perform and you end up with a real treasure. Wonderful!

  • simplemente, grandioso ray conniff y su orquesta.Siempre recordare su musica y creo que el mundo tampoco lo olvidara, hasta siempre maestro!

  • I love the ray conniff.i think that his songs are a milestone for the music world ... he knows how to make music and very well done. My name is Rafael and I'm passionate about folk music primarily madeby the maestro Ray Conniff and his orchestra

  • Gracias papa por enseñarme el gusto por la buena musica y gracias Ray eres simplemente el mejor

  • As always, Manfred, you've brought more joy to this lifelong Conniff fan (55 years and counting...since 1955!!) Perhaps one of the session musicians or the 'singers' could shed a bit of light on this question: From the handing out of the charts to the final take, what would be an estimate of the amount of time spent rehearsing and recording just one tune?? These are all union musicians, so time is money!

  • Just awesome. Thanks so much for posting.

  • Gotta love an 82-year-old man with a trombone! Wow! Vielen Dank, Manfred!

Someone just said my comments on Ray's music sound as if I had realy been a friend of his. Oh, how that might have been so !!!!!!

I bought this album a few months ago!

These sessions you post can all be found in my Ray Conniff Archive playlist.

Watching Ray here is like watching the sculpture of David being created !!!

As a sax player, of course this ending is to die for !!!!!!
