Honestly, I find it quite foolish to believe in a person. They will always let you down sooner or later. I give Michael Obama props for her speech. It was really inspirational. But the thing is Presidents are merely human. I loved president Bush as president. Laura Bush probably did the most service wise than any other first lady. I was at the graduation. This video gave me the chills as I watched people mindlessly agreeing to "believe in Michelle Obama." What does that even mean? It looked like we should have all been wearing grey shirts with shaved heads like the matrix or the book 1984. As she finished talking, 3/4 of the crowd left in a rude exodus that left the graduates speechless because no one cared to see them on their big day. They just came to get their 20 minute cult fix. As far as pointing out any one religious faith, I think it's important to remember the point President Obama made recently in Turkey: we are a nation of several beliefs, and variety within them. 3 the thing to remember is the house and the senate make up 2/3 of the vote and who has been in charge of those two for the last three years.

Yes I also think the UC Davis comment was out of line. The hardest thing is to keep from being prejudice about Obama is this president and his wife have been involved in some of the most racists things i have ever herd. the preaching that they sat under for many years is more racist than any i have ever herd. the prayer at the end of his inauguration was so racist toward me as a White Christian Man.

Well done, UC Merced! This is a touching video and you should all be so proud of your success in this campaign. As far as pointing out any one religious faith, I think it's important to remember the point President Obama made recently in Turkey: we are a nation of several beliefs, and variety within them. I think anyone wishing the video had included a specific religious belief should be proud of the word "co-exist" which comes early in the clip. Because that's what we really are. Kudos!

Without the christian in this world many would go without food, many would not have water, many would not have medical care,many would die without any love. I would actually have to disagree with that. Right now, what we should be doing is voicing our opposition to policies which we disagree with and which the Obama administration has implemented. We should be calling our local "representatives," writing letters to the editor, and debating about the future of our country. I will support the President when he is right, however, will not be forced into silence when I disagree with him. Political discourse should NEVER be abandoned.

One stimulus package won't solve our problems. If you BELIEVE everything politicians tell you, you might as well have your head in the sand as they take advantage of you.
I believe in change but not like this. I'm a conservative republican. This country was founded on people who hated taxes. Not those who think bigger government and higher taxes will solve our problems.

One, may be you should check your facts before you comment. Two, this is a student run initiative therefore this is something that STUDENTS worked for. Three, the administration has been working on, not backups, but key note speakers in general. Therefore not EVERYONE, like you claim, is on just one track.
