Hey, wouldn't it be really, really cool is Vic and some of the FUNimation actors and actress recorded a CD with just english version of theme songs from FUNimation anime shows?
Ok....I can see the message behind the song....but why in the world did it have to be "pot bellied buddah"???
This sounds very...intollerant to me. Flame me all you want, I'm just saying my openion....but seriously...why couldn't he have said somehting else, other then another religions icon? I totally understand the message....but it also sounds like hes saying buddist only pray when they need/want something.
I just don't know why he had to use the term "pot bellied buddah".
@nogoodnamebetch It's a very recognizable symbol, and the reason he uses it would seem to me to be that Buddhism was rapidly corrupted in most of ancient Asia, with most followers outside India seeing him as a just a nicer deity to make demands of. That sound good?
@nogoodnamebetch Because that's a symbol for Buddhism, but whenever he's talking about this song he says it's not just Buddhism, just religion in general.
@nogoodnamebetch I completely understand what you're saying. But when I thought about it, I think it's because alot people who aren't Buddists have a buddah, in a way that you don't get with other religions.
i agree most christians turn to God when they encounter problems in our life but the truth is that we need to honor and praise him and come to him not just when the good times go bad but all the time
Vic knows people so well, especially those of us who only pray whenever we're in trouble, because he used to be the same way. You can tell that in At Calvary. This is such a true song for Christians everywhere, and also those of other religions. Question do Buddhists have Pot Bellied Jesus on their shelves? lol kidding people, got nothing against Buddhism

@RikuHarada1890 We should send that to FUNimation as a request! They even have a YouTube account; we could send it there or put it on their website!

I cannot stop listening to this song!
I'm not even religious, but I can appreciate what it's trying to say, because it's true. I hate when people only turn to God for selfish reasons.
