...always imaged this coming out of a lear-jet 8-track played in a '73 Cadillac/Black down town Jacksonville..comp.wlgator skins,mirror shades/Black-tar,FM antena,chrome chain steering wheel & "Evan williams".
Hey This is Great ,My Absolute Favorite Stafford Tune,I Love This Album,All The Songs He Uses A Cry-Baby Wah-Wah Peddal,& other Effex,it rankz up there with "amos moses" and "The Legend of Woolie Swamp",I love Swamp Witch Haddie,...Eerie Swamp Music!
Don't know why but this song has lots of those 'phrases' that stick in my head!!
they love it when you lead 'em round. I wonder what is this. That's just a clingin' ma'am, don't you make a racket ... they just wind around your ankle ... here take a stick and whack it
Some times I wonder what you'd do, if a swamp moved in on you. Scratched on your screen, slipped out your water spout, tapped you on the shoulder ... said YOU MOVE OUT.
@grandpoohbah1 this song is writtne in iambic pentametere like a shakesperean sonnet, jim has a lot of talent a poet that is why it sticks in yourhead, and makes your skin crawl like poe's the raven.
This is a very diff. song

It's just scary that I can remember almost all of the words of this B side 45!

That sound at 0:36 always frightened me as a kid. From what i saw on Ebay, "Wild Wood Weed" is on the other side of that single.

I had this on 8-track too. I always wondered if this song was somewhat a continuation of "Swamp Witch".

I had this on an 8-Track back in the 70s. Lost the 8-track, though.
