cats ear canals are deep, if you get water in there it can lead to fungal infections due to the moisture, it can also damage the ear drum.

by all means bath your cat, but don't wet the face or put water near the ears.

Actually, the ears to most cats are not supposed to get wet because most cats are prone to ear infections if the water does fully dry out.... ask your vet.... I'n the case of baths supposedly being "unhealthy" this is a total lie I've had cats all my life and always bathed them. My vet also says that much like humans a cats skin does collect the natural oils it creates if not properly bathed.

Most people have to do things they don't like because its good for them i.e. exercise, eat vegitables, and in the case of babies even bathing can be horrible, but benificial. So honestly people just need to shut thier traps its up to you if you want to bathe them or not, and there are no truely awful cons either way.
