I didn't know seroquel had anticholinergic properties, another reason to stay away from it unless absolutely necessary.

As a general rule of thumb, most H1 antagonists are also anti-cholinergics (but this is not always true, hydroxyzine for example, which is actually an H1 inverse agonist but close enough). Anyways, the sedation from seroquel is caused by the H1 antagonism -- but the antipsychotic effects (dopamine antagonism) are only truly experienced at doses higher than 100mg. So if you ever need to knock a speed freak out, keep "more than 100mg" in mind.
@SpunkySkunk347 yeah all the antipsychotics I know of are potent H1 antagonists. Thorazine was actually discovered when they were searching for more potent analogues of promethazine. Anticholinergics are scary drugs. I've heard some fucked up stories about scopolamine. You can buy that stuff on the streets in Colombia and consequently, the locals are terrified of it. With good reason.

@IDreeaaM its the sleep deprivation that turns you paranoid, not the meth itself. The guy in that video woulda had to have stayed up for at least 3 days to get like that. If you ever have to deal with a paranoid, sleep deprived, tweaked up lunatic like that, just force feed them some seroquel or ambien or something and that'll knock them out.

One night the poster on my wall came to life. It looked 3 dimensional and was talking to me. If ambien doesn't work for you try seroquel. That most definitely will.

My god this ads funny. I only ended up psychotic twice in my life and the first time I was convinced someone had broken into my house so I was walking around the appartment in my boxers at 3 in the morning with my machete looking for an imaginary burglar. I thought that we was just really crafty and was hiding under beds and cupboards and would slip past me when I turned my back.

@ampikine yeah seroquel works well, only thing is that its an anti-cholinergic, so its effects are going to be highly uncomfortable for someone on amphetamine.

Its not comfortable for people to be around a psychotic, paranoid, homicidal maniac like the guy in this video so they cant really blame you for forcing them to take antipsychotics afterwards. I didn't know seroquel had anticholinergic properties, another reason to stay away from it unless absolutely necessary.

@ampikine Yeah its also an H1 antagonist.. As a general rule of thumb, most H1 antagonists are also anti-cholinergics (but this is not always true, hydroxyzine for example, which is actually an H1 inverse agonist but close enough). Anyways, the sedation from seroquel is caused by the H1 antagonism -- but the antipsychotic effects (dopamine antagonism) are only truly experienced at doses higher than 100mg. So if you ever need to knock a speed freak out, keep "more than 100mg" in mind.

@SpunkySkunk347 yeah all the antipsychotics I know of are potent H1 antagonists. Thorazine was actually discovered when they were searching for more potent analogues of promethazine. Anticholinergics are scary drugs. I've heard some fucked up stories about scopolamine. You can buy that stuff on the streets in Colombia and consequently, the locals are terrified of it. With good reason.
