Here in the U.S., being a teacher is no joke. Everyone knows that American students are the best educated kids on the planet. Some places, like Japan, South Korea, China, Germany, and Norway, treat education as a farce. Here in the states, however, we know that a rigorous understanding of language, coupled with an exhaustive knowledge of maths and science, is the lynchpin of a solid education. That's why we Americans are the best - and best educated - people on the planet. ; )
Right after South Korea, Finland, Canada, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Estonia, Switzerland, Poland and Iceland in reading, maths and science.
Dead Poets Society wasn't a documentary, but I understand why you got confused. Robin Williams can be very convincing.
@TheGrayChannel HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH OMFG AHAHAH that funnier than the video!!! ahahahagagaggaga, its a well known fact throughout everywhere that isn't america that Americans are thick as shit, ignorant morons.
@TheGrayChannel You genuinely think that? Don't get me wrong: America is good at many things, but educating kids - particularly poor kids - is not one of them. E.g. UNICEF ranks the US educational system 18th out of 24 developed countries, and the Programme for International Students Assessment ranks the US 30th for maths, 23rd for sciences and 17th for reading (out of 65 countries). Maybe that's why you say such things as 'America is the best' so blithely and unselfconsciously?

I love these bits. So much more realistic than the rose-tinted vision handed out by the real government adverts for teaching.
