  • nice real nice are you running this on stock bottom end? and could you hint on how much the KB cost you with install?

  • very nice! i got a couple vids of my old gt before my wreck and i had a vortech up front. only vid where i got it though and thats in front of mcdonalds. other mods were 4:10 gears, borla s-type catbacks, mac o/r prochamber, headers, lowered with some h&r supersports and bilstein adjustables, and of course basic bolt ons as well. and a tune. i dont have vids of the 4.10 gearing or the full exhaust set-up. just borla's /:

    check my channel!

  • Anyone selling a supercharger for a 01 gt

  • As soon as you pop the hood you can hear the blower setup whistling its super clean gotta love kenne bell blowers!

  • wanna trade?

  • is that a homemade air filter cover??

  • So..ummm....when you giving this to me? lol

  • @000JERRY0000 You change the pulley to change the boost. Id recommend having a shop do it,

  • nice car man, I've got a 02 gt myself, having the 2.1 kb installed @10psi. It's cammed and I'm throwing on a Dragon Performance throttle body and plenum along with an 85mm MAF, upgrading the fuel pump and filter, installing a new clutch and going with an aluminum driveshaft. I'll post a video when the work is finished.

  • this is my grandmothers old house...

  • fu(kin love it dude. i got a 97 gt and when i rebuild it i was gonna put forged pistons in and set it up for about 12 psi on a kennebell

  • @misweetrenvege If you build it up and have the PI swap done you could run the 2.6 kit, but the 2.1 at 12psi will be a hell of a start too.

  • @04kbgt sup bro Nice car, Do you think its rare to find anymore mustangs out their in the world to buy such as this? not too rare, but rare?

  • @TheMultimacdrizzle Im sure if you looked hard enough you would find a supercharged GT that is this clean, but be careful buying modded cars cuz more than likely someone ran the hell outa it and had a lot of fun with it.

  • guy is an idiot...jus cause his onlt makes 250hp he hating. I also have an 04 kbgt. Mines the non cooled but still made 389rwhp with 11psi and meth cooler.

  • nice car dude

  • hey bro i was thinking about getting the catless bassani x for my mustang as well and i was wondering how bad the smell is? or have you even noticed a difference?

  • @SVTpowerr Well I have the catted x pipe and it does have a smell to it but its not overwhelming. I do know without cats the smell is worse.

  • Man don't sweat those haters....I too have an 04 GT with at 2.1KB with cooler. It did 215 rwhp prior to the install and 400rwhp and 405 tq afterwards at 10 degree of timing and 12PSI. It had plenty more to go but I didnt want to push my luck so we stopped the tune there. My motor is completely stock except for the KB, throttle body, air intake, and 90mm MAF and I have the dyno sheet to prove it. Very sweet car man!

  • @KBStang04 Thanks for the comments...yeah you wanna keep it safe unless your planning on building the engine in the future. Its a fun setup though, plenty fast for the street. I knew there were some other 400+rwhp KB stangs on here. Every car makes different numbers, some higher than others and some people dont understand that I suppose. Also need to find my dyno sheet which was before I finished the exhaust but it still made over 420rwhp.

  • sweet gt mang

  • the little leaf cowers in fear :)

  • I say around b/c before the headers I pulled 420rwhp on the dyno, bout a year ago we added shorty headers (10-15hp) but havent had it ont he dyno since so Im GUESSING its AROUND 430rwhp, maybe even more. You say its impossible? Do your research, Im not the only KBGT with these numbers. The car made 250rwhp before the blower, which is supposed to add about 160hp witht he 9psi kit,and IM runnin a lil more, you do the math. Thanks for the views and comments, just dont like being called a liar.

  • @04kbgt Nice Car, Thats almost identical to the setup I want to build(as far as the engine). Do you ever drag it? If so What kind of times are you getting?

  • Is the x pipe O/R or high flow Cats?

  • @Mapp2004 High flow cats.

  • love uur car

  • Nice gt man, sounds really good. My dads got an 04 cobra with a kb mammoth and I got a 97 with a kb 2.1 twin screw

  • You Should get a chin spoiler,

  • @MyStangGetsAss Yeah a chin spoiler is on the list of things to do. The car looks a little different now though, wider tires in the back with deep dish wheels and 13in brake upgrade in the front red calipers all the way around. The chin spoiler is the only thing missing.

  • @04kbgt The chin and Mach 1 grille make a big difference in these cars, also a drop but damn they a stiff as hell with any kind of significant drop. On a side note where in NC are you? I'm in King.

  • @mgrande11 Yea they do, although I think the look of the billet grill looks more aggressive than the mach grill delete. Yeah I only dropped it 1.5 inch in the front and almost an inch in the rear, and you can def feel every bump in the road but its not as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Im on the outside of charlotte.

  • @04kbgt what type of power are you making

  • @queenmarykidcali Its around 430rwhp, same with torque.

  • @04kbgt This is a basic GT with KB at 10psi? The 03 Cobra did 390 at the crank and has a hell of an engine compared to yours. You claim to do 430whp? Nerver... impossible! I know, I drive a 02 gt. With every possible bolt-ons other than supercharger, I'm lucky to do 250whp. Get it on a dyno before you make those claims...

  • @guyd37 I'm pretty sure you should be making more or you have not dynod... because the 99-04 gt's have 245whp stock...

  • @guyd37 250 rwhp on a 4.6 v8? now thats weak

  • @guyd37 lmfaoooooo 250whp from a 4.6 v8....AHAHAHAHAHAHA wow get your money back

  • @guyd37 if you had done your research you would see that numbers like these with a 10psi kb kit are common if not expected. With stock internals, and nothing more than the 10psi kit itself it should push a little over 400rwhp, add a few bolt ons: throttle body, plenum, MAF and tweak the tune you're sitting in @ about 430rwhp, 500+ to the crank. Sure an 03 cobra had a hell of an engine, but it didn't have a kb supercharger.

  • woah you got a custom shifter? badass car by the way. i have an 02 but its no gt ha.

  • @bradleyii Thanks man. Yeah its a B&M short throw shifter.

  • @04kbgt with the supercharger how many horses is this beauty pushing?

  • @bradleyii Around 430rwhp on dyno.

  • @04kbgt There's NO such thing as "around.... on dyno". Dyno are very precise. I don't believe you have more than 340-350wph with this car. Which is still very good for an 04 GT.

  • @guyd37 Also the blowers on the 03 cobra arent much compared to a Kenne bell, My car at crank should be pushing around 500hp.

  • @04kbgt KB claim an average gain of 100hp which is reasonable. I looked into it for my GT. The big problem with 2v GT is that despite being a very good engine in it's stock form, has very weak internals compared to a Cobra and would not last with 500 crank hp. Get it dynoed... and if you do push 500 crank hp, and have stock internals, trust me, it won't long. Performance shops who experienced it will confirm. Don't get me wrong, I like your car. I drive one too....

  • @guyd37 I believe your looking at the 6psi non intercooled kit which usually will dyno round 350rwhp. Kb has changed their website since I looked at it when I bought the kit but they still do claim 379-500rwhp with the 2.1 intercooled kit which is what I run. I know the internals are weak and cant hold much over 450rwhp. Im still under that with a consrvative tune, doesnt mean it will last forever but its been 3 years and car still runs strong. Like I said my car WAS dynoed in oct 07 at420rwh

  • What did this KB run you in terms of cost? This is what I want but I'm not gonna break the bank just for a KB. I want the roots style SC but I'm leaning toward a JMS complete Vortech kit with everything I need for $4k. I prefer the low-end power and sound of a KB but the Vortech kit will give me 106hp gain for a decent buck.

  • How much do these go for nowadays?

  • @Magienus You talking bout the car or the supercharger? Not sure what I could get for the car but the supercharger kit goes for $4999.

  • @04kbgt yeah, i just meant the car haha. Trying to figure out whats a good price to pay

  • @Magienus You can almost steal one of these cars now. You may be able to find a clean one with decent miles on it for around 10k, but not positive. Check out ebay or autotrader.

  • @04kbgt

5k? Really?!? Is that installation too? also tuning?

  • @tefoalalau No 5k for the supercharger kit. I paid about 800 for install then another 500 for dyno tuning. So after that plus a 75mm throttle body I had to get I paid over 7k not including bolt ons I already ahd before the blower went on.

  • @04kbgt

    dang... she's a beauty... *bows*

  • lol tthis 'stang beats ricers in neutral! xD

  • LOL

  • clean... very clean

  • driveway ful of toyotas and the best thing parked is the stang! lol, surprised you don't have a supra. but anyway thats a sweet stang, my favorite color on mustangs for sure!

  • lol tthis 'stang beats ricers just by cranking up haha good work

  • @forestview2011 haha yeah thanks man

  • 04kbgt how did you use your stock hood and still fit a kenne bell in there? did you cut it out under the scoop? jw caus i have an 03 gt just the same as yours except in the lighter silver. nice ass ride you got there

  • @jjonlythebest1 The 2.1 KB will fit under stock hood, the 2.6 however requires the cowl hood. Thanks for the comments and Ill have an updated vid of it soon, since then Ive had bigger tires and deep dish wheels ont he back and big brake upgrade on the front.

  • Nice Nice Nice

  • Beautiful

  • man i love stands personally my favorite car i they run better than any other haha :) but nice setup man

  • Man we need a walkaround..Like a full one to see what all this beast has to offer!!

  • Yeah they are smoked headlights from the factory, only the 03 and up GT's came with those I believe. They arent illegal, but when people completely black them out that may be illegal.

  • @04kbgt i have the samme exact car is yours but its a convertable.. my headlights aren't smoked...?

  • @person3213 These headlights were smoked from the factory. I believe 03-04 were the only years they came this way from Ford.

  • @04kbgt mine aren't though. 2004 Mustang GT convertable. Dark shadow gray metalic. aint smoked :P

  • Nice car!

  • Wow...121 comments and only 1 negative comment from someone who hates mustangs haha. Man, thanks for your input Mazda6tuner99. Go ahead and go watch some more vids of things you hate and comment on them so you will have something to do with your time.

  • @04kbgt r those smoked headlights? if so arent those illegal

  • @04kbgt Haha! Nice Stang bro.

  • ol grandpappy put one dem leaf blowars on his musteng and it was sooooo fukin rad

  • i hate mustangs

  • @mazda6tuner99 I hate the v6 shitstangs. But the new ones are actually really good and fast.

  • @XL0rd123 i now,, i got a 2006 gt vert hahaha

  • @mazda6tuner99 Mazdas are for fags so cant say to much about mustangs i bet you drive a mazda3 fuckin queer

  • @puffyblunts shut up, i drive a 2006 GT vert

  • Comment removed

  • @mazda6tuner99 yeah sure you do fag

  • @puffyblunts go watch my vid, lmao, i can make a new one at your request too =] rev the engine up a little bit.

  • @XL0rd123 That is a V8 you dumb fuck! What the hell man there is no way possible to put a Kenne Bell on a V6 without extensive modifications!Plus a V6 wouldn't benefit from a Kenne Bell..It couldn't generate enough N/A horsepower to justify having it!

  • @TheMrhoneycutt I was replying to someones comment ass hole.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes I was talking about the previous and why Ford switched to the 4.6 for like 15 years. But yes the new 5.0 is one hell of a beast, they def needed it to compete with the new camaro and challengers stock for stock.

  • Well for starters the 4.6 was a better engine than the previous 5.0, and quicker. This car would stomp on the previous and probably the new one coming out for the 2011 GT.

  • @04kbgt the new 5.0 is puttin out 420+ at the crank do you really think this motor is better? better than the previous 5.0 yes but the new one i doubt just my opinion.

  • @Pharoh11

It all depends on the engine modifications. The motor doesn't necessarily matter. It's what's been done or being done to the motor that does. Remember, there's always going to be someone that's faster.

  • whatever happened to the ol' 5.0 gt days? now its all this 4.6 crap.....wtf?

  • It should be just one size smaller, I had mine ordered that way. My x pipe is catted, and if you dont have an aftermarket cold air intake I would recommend one with it being supercharged. Not a huge deal but will help with power and def support the blower. Also you will probably gain about 8-10rwhp after the x pipe is installed, gottta get all forced air out haha.

  • Just installed my Kenne Bell 2.1 and I got the 9psi pulley. Did you change it to one size smaller? I just talked to Jim Bell and he sent me out the 10 psi pulley but I haven't installed it yet. Your supercharger sounds alot louder than mine but of course I have the stock exhaust manifolds and cats with the only other mod being the Magnaflow catback like yours. I am ordering a Bassani X-pipe because I like the sound of yours, is your X with cats or is it O/R? Thanks.

  • i cant decide if i want a kenne bell or a twin turbo set up for my 03 =/ i like the way this one sounds tho

  • Well you can find a clean used 99-04 GT for probably around anywhere from $8-14k. Then add about another $12k in performance parts.

  • how much would a car like that go for?

  • omg... i looove these cars :D:D:D mostly because of the supercharger :P haha :P

  • No that is the stock hood, which is just enough clearance for the 2.1. The 2.6 requires the cowl induction hood.

  • do u need that type of hood if u want a kenne bell? =/

  • Haha yeah I figured by the screen name travis. And to the other guy there is a vid of me driving, look it up.

  • hey bitch hurry up and drive

  • tyler the white hatchback would stomp that thing out........hahah jk its travis

  • The shifter is a B&M short throw. Its for the Tremec 3650. I had the parts people at a Ford dealership I worked at at the time order it for me so I could get a discount. Its a great shifter though, very smooth and of course quick shifts, and also looks nice.

  • I really like the shifter you have. What is it and where'd you buy it? Is it from a different tranny? Looks like a t56..

  • Damn only 500 miles? Must have had a more agressive tune on it as well. They are a lot of fun though, its hard not to get on it.

  • my kenne bell stang dyno'd at 450rwhp, the stock 4r70w tranny held together for about 5 races, at least i still made it home. stock motor (no forged internals) lasted about 500 hard miles. that was at 10 psi. but worth every penny:)

  • Nah I just had my new clutch put in a couple of months ago. I used the stock one for about 4k miles with the blower, but the tob was going bad to decided to go ahead and upgrade. Not something you will have to do right away depending on how you drive the car.

  • are you running 10psi on a stock clutch? Going 2 buy the same kit and wondering how long its gonna last be4 i burn it up..prolly going 2 replace it when i do the kb install

  • No problems with it, it is a nice product.

  • nice car man. im lookin for a KB for my 02 GT. had any problems with it?

  • I think it is, but it all depends on what kind of power you want. I wanted instant power, so KB was the best choice for me. Whipple would have also been an option if they had a model available for my year stang. Id say once your at over 500rwhp you only have so long ont he stock tanny, also if your at over 450rwhp you will need to forge the bottom end or something could blow.

  • with 6000 dollars would you say kenne bell is the best supercharger you could buy? and at what amount of horsepower would you have to start making other modifications such as a new tranny and all that

  • Just the typical bolt ons such as cai, 75mm tb, 39lb injectors, lightning maf, full exhaust, 3.73 gears, chip and dyno tuned along with some suspension work (subframe connectors, lowering springs, upper.lower control arms in rear) and now have 315's in the rear with the deep dish bullitt wheels.

  • A dyno tune is very important when adding any supercharger. You need a tune to get the fuel timing right and all, also keep things safe.

  • sweet mustang bro im looking into the stangs right now. wat other mods u have??

  • after u bolted on the kit did u have it tuned? do u have too?? sorry im new to the stang modifications lol

  • If you have the same body style I have then no, the 2.6 wont fit with stock hood, you will need a cowl induction hood. The 2.1 is the only one that fits.

  • Which KB is that? Im about to pick up a 2.6 just curious if it will fit under stock hood, I have heard Yes and no...

  • Thanks for the comments, dont worry the whistle is normal, just the sound of a twin screw blower at idle.

  • gorgeous stang man! very nice!! :D

  • i like ur sting but it might be time for a new belt

  • Nice job dude! Very clean, well sorted GT!

  • Thanks man, yea the KB is a nice product.

  • Thanks, just get a job and save up, you can pick up a used GT now for a good price.

  • @TinyWeyant1989 i just bought my 2001 gt for 6000.

  • as my dad would say in your position....GET A JOB SON!!!

  • Im still on stock internals, just dont run too much boost and have it dyno tuned and you will be good to go. However you cans till blow something depending on how you drive.

  • Man thats my favorite body style, but i prefer the 04 Cobra, but damn this is still an awesome Stang.

  • i love the 01 bullitt i think thats the best looking stang

  • hey man i subscribed because i have an 02 GT and i want to supercharge mine as well. i heard that it could throw a rod if worked too hard. are your pistons forged or anything?

  • just rev it in reverse on your driveway and ull blow off the leaves lol

  • No cutting or anything, the 2.1 can clear the factory hood, the 2.6 however calls for a cowl hood.

  • Did you have to cut out under the hood where the hood scoop is to get the supercharger to fit?

  • The intercooled kit is $4999. Yeah its a fun ride for sure.

  • nice stang man... how much did you pay for the SC ??

    more than 400hp :O

  • Thanks man, Im 22. Getting ready to put on some ford racing headers and new clutch, so the new vid I promised is coming up to show yall the new mods.

  • dang man nice car, how old are you?

  • It was in the shop for 10 days, but it could be done in a couple days. If ya worked non stop it would take a good part of a day.

  • how long does it take to install the kb ?

  • Its about 420rwhp.

  • how much whp?

  • im not a fan of domestics or your gas cover lol but you sir have a very sick car

  • Thanks for the comments. Yes the only exhaust work I have is the catback and the x pipe. For this setup go ahead and change to at least a 75mm throttle body which is needed. other mods are listed in my profile..too many to list out here. But I highly recomment a dyno tune after the blower is installed for safety reasons, so you dont blow her up or run rich or something. Dyno tune is also the key to the power, just dont have it tuned for more than 450rwhp on stock internals.

  • dude im in love with ur car

  • Very Nice!!! Love your video and going to order a KB tomorrow for my 03 GT. Check out my videos of it in about 1 month or so.

  • I think as long as ya do a compression check and put a safe tune on it it will be fine. Seen shops install blowers on cars with over 100k many times. Also your going intercooled and only at 6psi you shouldnt have any problems. And thanks for the comments, I just put some 315's in the rear along with some deep dish wheels...new vid coming soon.

  • Nice stang!! I have an 2001 bullitt and am about to install a KB 1.7 with AFM power pipe, intercooler ect. My motor seems to be in great shape with 97k miles on the motor, I am doing a copression check tomorow but am curious if my stock motor will last atleast 25k miles on 6# intercooled so I can save up for a built bottom end

  • The kit I have which is the intercooled 2.1 runs $4999. Check out their website for more info. Thanks for the comments.

  • how much do kenne bell supercharges cost? i would love for my stang to be like yours beautiful car

  • Kenne Bell is the best supercharger ever, I wish I had one. haha

  • Yeah its cool how the alt sits in a different spot after the install. Ive heard the BAP can be a pita to install but I had the Focus pump on mine.

  • Ive done a kb install on an 04. Install is very staright forward. hardest part is wiring the boost-a-pump. the job was basically moving the alt, installin on two new idlers, and changing the intake. will take you a day or two depending on the pace you want to work at

  • I had it installed by a tuner shop...its not too complicated though if you know what your doing. Basically bolt on blower....car was in the shop for about 10 days, however the guy could only do so much to it daily and is very anal about his work, which is a good thing.

  • I want to supercharge with the kenne bell on my 01 mustang gt was the install easy? how long did it take?

  • Nice whip homie!

  • saw this on my car domain its sickk man very nice stang

  • That is exactly the clutch I plan on going with. Im gonna wait until this one starts going before I change it out though. Might do a lightweight flywheel too.

  • Stock tranny with 3.73 gears, and still on stock clutch. And yes it is basically a simple bolt on, and all the supporting things come with the kit. No rebuilding or anything like that.

  • Very nice stang! I just had a McLeod dual disc clutch intstalled in order to handle the addt'l horses and torque my kenne bell's producing...LOVE IT...and you will too if that's in the works down the road...

  • Hell yea, If you cant BELL it, Sell it!

  • shouldnt that be if you can bell it dont sell it?

  • wow.. absolutely beautiful.....

  • Oh and hp is 420rwhp and 435rwtq. So like probably anywhere from 475-490hp to flywheel.

  • It has exhaust, cold air intake, 75mm tb, lightning maf, 39lb injectors, 3.73 gears and some suspension mods. And a whole world of small mods that come with the kit (heat exchanger, 180 deg. thermostat, etc. etc).

  • what about the tranny and rearend, are those stock? clutch?

  • What else have you done? whats the hp now? Check out my gt with the 04 cobra motor swap when you get a chance..

  • I had the shop who installed it order it. He ordered it from Kenne Bell. Look on KB's website under the 99-04 2.1 kit. Its on there for $4999.

  • hey man, where did you get the kb for the gt? i can only find them for the cobra....
