In fact the US wasnt even in South Vietnam when it was invaded in 1975. Up untill the US left, North Vietnam was losing the war miserably. As for the chinese soldiers, not caring about life or death makes them fools, not fighters. Remember the Korean war, look at what your fearless soldiers did in that war.

China has considerably more manpower but Russia's technology is superior and has a large amount of natural resources.
