Im in your class this semester and I can safely say you do not give yourself enough credit! You are probably the best Jazz guitarist I have ever heard. I love the style that you play and I appreciate the complexity of your playing. Not many modern musicians are willing to branch into more complex styles, but you do it so amazing and successfully
Barry, I was in Florida on business and was fortunate to see the concert on September 9 , 2010 tribute to Horace Silver at Lazzara Hall. It was so great to hear and see you again along with these fine people from UNF. You have gained the top spot on my list of musicians. I met the wonderful Lynne Arriale after the concert and two of the students from combo #1. The students were very good. I shall remember this fondly.
I'm a music major at UNF and I see these guys everyday around the Fine Arts Building. They are bad ass! I would love to take some lessons from Danny; so swingin'!
Barry, you are a swing driver! you catch everything I wanted get as a jazz guitar player, originality, tone to died for, embraced tradition & contemporariest, superb technique and personality, and mainly ...a productive career as performer as like educator. God bless you
so great...it's always an pleasure to hear you play, and definitely a great honor when I get the opportunity to play with you. you guys sound so cohesive.

When you have chops like Barry has, you don't need to sing... Besides he's singing in his head! And listen to that bass and drums. Fab..

Nice trio...that's the way I remember a guitar
sounding....I'm 80 now and I can still tell
what's good from what's bad. Hope to hear more of you. Thanks for keeping it alive.
