  • Omg that final bend at 2:18 <3 Yngwie was a master a this time !

  • Great tune and very tight performance!

  • This is music, fucking great. Yngwie should have kept Jeff in the band forever. Nobody can do it like Jeff!

  • 2:23 YEEEAAHH, THERE'S my Jenny! :D (He loves that--heh heh...)

  • grande merde

  • this is the kinda music i wanna play :) honest non commercial rock with awesome musicians/singer

  • the good times...

  • thanks for uploading the whole set, I found much pleasure in being able to listen to them all in one sitting!

  • Yngwie has always had great playing. Some of his solos have more fire in them then others though. Yngwie has more feeling and melody in his playing then any other shredder that I've ever heard. There is no one who does neoclassical better then Yngwie!

  • @streakerdude I agree. If you like shredders with emotion, I would also HIGHLY recommend Michael Angelo Batio (aka MAB). If you have time, look up "Rain Forest" or his most famous "Speed Kills, No Boundaries" and enjoy one of the best shredders ever, right up there with Malmsteen and Steve Vai!

  • @NeufilmsInc Pretty cool song. I especially like the main riff, that came up now and again.

  • @streakerdude glad you enjoyed it. I know I love finding new artists and songs!

  • @NeufilmsInc Also Marty Friedman and Jason Becker. Cacophony! Those guys did the dual-guitars thing like no one before or since.

  • only Yngwie can get away with added crowd cheers hahahah at least back in 85

  • sick vocals

  • I love this song. Despite the undeniable guitar performance in all Malmsteen´s songs, I have always appreciated the keyboards role in his songs too. Fantastic song!!

  • The most underated singer in 80's metal.

  • if i was soto i would have beat the fuck out of the band for speeding up the song. Luckily soto is just amazing enough to pull it off.

  • jeff scott sotto is awesome for sure

  • Soto woww awesome..great voice!!

  • Soto nailed it ;) Great song!

  • Yngvie went through Graham Bonnet,Jeff Scott Soto,and Joe Lyn Turner...# incredible singers,and 3 great guys..Yngwie,You are a douche

  • I saw this show new years eve 1984 i think when he was opening fir Dio. Fantastick show,

  • Imagine if they stuck with soto and just called the band rising force

  • @qwerty123123ify Soto was the first, and without question, the best. Pretty rare to find a guy with such range and grit, and Yngwie just discarded him. You sometimes have to wonder what goes through his head.

  • This video unfortunately, wastes a LOT of space, tracking through the back of the audience during Yngwie's solo, when we should be seeing him and not the back of people's heads in the dark.

    Rik

  • This cut was originally written while Yngwie was a member of STEELER. It was called 'Victim of the City' and recorded live at Perkins Palace, L.A.Ca. Producer Varney decided to leave it off the album in favor of Yngwie's 'Rising Force' instrumental. It's featured on the STEELER ANTHOLOGY CD. It was a band collaboration, and not by any one member. It marked a turning point in the band as everyone contributed to its composition. Check out the original for a comparison.

    -Rik Fox- STEELER Bassist.

  • Jeff Scott Soto sounds better than any hard rock singer ever has live here

  • I wish Yngwie had kept this crunchy hard rocking sound.

  • holy duck look at 1:02 smoother love it.......

  • JUST AWESOME

  • Marching Out - Masterpiece. One of my all time favs. Yngwie - what a LEGEND! Love this song - great vid!

  • What a cool band. Jeff, Yngwie, Jens, Marcel and Anders really rocked the shit out of most bands by that time. Now they rock the shit out of everything that is new.

  • Say whatever you want. But in 1985, Yngwie's rising force was THE biggest metal band on the scene. They even opened for AC/DC and played arena's that would make you cream in your pants.

  • the G3 still exists¿?

  • he never returned to that hard rocking riffs in his later albums after Odyssey. But that's where he does best.

  • In this Performance Era they are absolutely F***ing Awesome!!!!!!!, End of story!!!!!!!

  • Yea have you seen the fullshred videos, thats Yngwie on top of his game.

  • To those of you that, have anything vile to say about Rising Force........I want to ask one Question? could you sing better than them? or play the guitar better than them?................No, i don't think you could.

  • Beautiful song!!! I love it! Great Yngwie!

  • Is that Jeff Scott Hoto? oops Soto lol anyways great singer should come back

  • i always love to hear this song again n again

    my idol no 1 malmsteen

  • RIP Marcel Jacob

  • Yngwie was much better at that time than today. Actually he bagan to suck by the time of LIve at Leningrado... Lost acuraccy, got sloppy, whatever. In 1985 he was incredible.

  • No way. He had some bad times in the 90s but he's better today than he's ever been. Have you seen the G3 concert vid? Awesome stuff. And I saw him on the last tour, he was unstopable.

  • @xuxis2008 I agree. By the time he got his precision back he had lost his style. Yngwie was best when he was very young because he was still hungry to succeed.

  • @xuxis2008

I dont agree.Live In Leningrad has no sloppiness.

  • @xuxis2008 his songs turned out not to be unique anymore..some quite good songs on odyssey but that it;/

  • @xuxis2008 just not true lol.

  • @richardrdenisii Agreed.

  • @xuxis2008 Concerto Suite and Seventh Sign are awesome albums, dunno how ya think he progressively got worse lol.

  • Yngwie rulles... the best , no doubt

  • 少年yngwie!うまいね!!

  • Fuckin' Awesome! Malmsteen is the Man! I love 80's Music! The Music today sucks...no feel, passion or grooves!

  • Great guitar, awesome drums, FANTASTIC VOCALS

  • This was for sure on of Rising Force's strongest line ups you can hear how tight they are, they're producing a lot of energy up there and Jeff Scott Soto is spot on sounds just like the record.

  • The recording was after edited and partly rerecorded, like every other live album.

  • Yngwie's best singer in my opinion...

  • haha, damn this song makes me want to rob a bank and get into a cop chase. great song, by a great group. rising force ftw.

  • shit if they made a malmsteen guitar hero you would need 20 fingers to keep up with it lol.

  • fuck guitar hero, i'd rather learn the real thing on a REAL guitar

  • true metaldave but then everyone would reconize the king, hes very underayed in the states but i get what u mean, rock on

  • you've got a point with that. Im also a real guitarist, but u got a point.

  • I agree!

  • Rips!!!!

  • Ahhhh... back when rock was flashy, heavy, catchy, and with a healthy dose of flamboyance. Something modern rock severely lacks. Great song, brings back great memories!

  • que buen tema , y el disco al que pertenece esta muy bueno !!!! :)

  • that sucks..

    but you know something man

we both know this song rocks

  • ... Fuck me.

  • !!!!kick ass !!!!

    the best

  • his best song

  • This track sounds nostalgic to me!

    Thanks for uploading!

  • my favorite era of yngwie. Jeff Scott Soto was an outstanding vocalist. thanks for posting.

  • joe lynn turner wasn't a bad signer too!

  • Can't disagree with you about Joe Lynn. I think he has one of the best voices in rock. I love the record he was on with YJM. Both JSS & JLT were outstanding with Yngwie. I'd be happy if YJM would reunite with either for a record & tour.
