They didn't do George's amazing song justice at all... And the ending was awful.. and the whole thing was cheesy as hell.... They made those simple solo sounding riffs turn into over complicated crap.. and I hate it..

Beatles songs are alomst untouchable...so most of the idol performances suck, with the exception of the guy who sang elenor rigby, I actually liked that one. But if your gonna sing a beatles song, it better sound sensational, phenomenal, and damn good!

Pairing David Cook and Jason Castro for that duet part was not a bright move. They did not mesh well and rightfully not. They're polar opposite styles, its only Jason's is the unique one full of expression while Cook's sounds like the majority of current day hard rock, nothing different. Michael Johns was also sinfully voted off too early. As for George liking it or not, I think he would have enjoyed the tribute of his tune most of all. Some people need to lay off the "standards" sometimes.
