hi, Tom i'm your big fan, gretting from Chile, i'm teacher and i buy many dvd's and blu ray's through Amazon, i'm big fan of action cartoon, and tv series, my favorite is X-files, Chris Carter visted my country in 2008, and i have a autograph dvd, a big hug from Chile, For me you are a Hero.
Do you have the Gummi Bears on dvd? I didn't know it was out until I saw it on Amazon. I love to own 80s dvd's I'll have them forever and can watch them 50 years from now. Great Reviews.
I actually have yet to see a single episode of 24. No particular reason, I think it looks like a great show and I'd love to check it out, just haven't got around to it yet.
Galaxy Rangers was interesting. I remember watching it when I was a kid. It was a very well done japanese made series for america that apparently didn't do so well. Blah, I really enjoyed it and even had some of the toys. I DO HOWEVER recall thinking the voice acting was campy, even then. It's a shame too because you are right, amazing story-writing. MUCH, MUCH better than say... Thundercats.
Oooh! Don't you be dissin' the Thundercats! Just wait until my in depth review of the space faring felines before you pass judgement. I think that one actually holds up a lot better than you might realize...
Unfortunately, nothing has been announced yet. But given how many 80's cartoons have been released over the past few years, I'm sure it's only a matter of time.
I also wanted to add that it sucks that once somethin' doesn't sell too well, it seem's to be a long-ass time before other sets come out. I have the first two seasons of Diff'Rent Strokes, for example, but others still aren't out yet. I've checked Wikipedia and it seem's like we'll be waiting a while.
And yeah, in case you chould never tell, I'm a late '70s and especially '80s decade pop culture fanatic. Keep the vids comin' my good man ...
i want to get the cops cartoon to cool, do you have the Jem dvds and do you know if they did the last set yet i got the first two volumes still need the last set.
I don't have Jem, unfortunately (I was kinda poor when those were originally being released). Rhino never finished releasing the whole series, there should have been one more set to finish it. Same with G.I. Joe. They waited too long and lost the rights to all the Sunbow shows before they got around to finishing the sets. They REALLY dropped the ball on those. Waited forever to release them, then lost the rights so the ones that WERE released went out of print almost instantly...
The only Sunbow cartoon they actually finished releasing was Transformers, but that set had its own set of problems...(screwed up audio, badly edited/incorrect color workprints used instead of broadcast prints, etc. etc). Fortunately, Hasbro recently re-acquired the rights to all the Sunbow shows, so hopefully we'll see proper (and COMPLETE) releases of all those awesome shows. I've always wanted to see the rest of Jem, apparently it actually DID have a proper ending to the series!
I can tell you what happens in the final episode if you wish. BTW I know it's deja vu, but DOTE was a Marvel Productions with ing Features, Sunbow wasen't involved, it just looks similar, due to the same animation studios used to animate it, mainly Toei Animation. Anyways I've got both volumes of that show myself, oh the film was called 'The Quest Begins' not a Planet in Peril that was the Flash Gordon episode they added on the sets.
I think that's why C.O.P.S. didn't sell too well - most of the people who WOULD have bought it didn't even know it was out! I'm going to do a big video about it in the near future and see if we can't get it a little more attention, then hopefully see the rest of the series released!
No Go Lion yet, I kinda blew the budget on other stuff this month...hehehe. But that's okay, I know it's going to be around for a while yet (especially with the final two sets still a few months off). :)
Yeah, I am a regular Amazon buyer (once a month I make an order), and I love me some '80s cartoons, and I had no idea it was on DVD.
Too cool, as a fresh vid will definately bring out more of us that remembered it. I have several action figures, as well as both good guys and baddies, and I remember many episodes. "Mace" with sun glasses was my favorite.
Yeah, GoLion will be there for us, my good man; no worries there :D
Actually, the complete series of GoLion was released in Region 1 by Media Blasters as well, complete and uncut, sub-titled in English. It came out shortly after the Lion Force Voltron sets were released, and shortly before they put out the Vehicle Force sets. I just haven't got around to picking them up yet...
Ah OK, I thought they only released the Voltron English dub, which combined both Go Lion and Dairugger XV respetevily, ironically enough both were animated by Toei.
Nope, so far they've released Lion Force Voltron in the 5 tins, GoLion as 3 volumes, Vehicle Force Voltron in 3 volumes, The Fleet of Doom Voltron movie with both Voltrons, so all that's left is the original Japanese version of Dairugger which is coming....hmm....soon. No official release date no that yet. Media Blasters/Anime Works has been VERY good to Voltron fans the past few years! :)
Oh yes you can't argue with that. They have been good to Voltron fans, though GaoGaiGar fans.....no actually they have been good to them too, but due to poor DVD sales, only half the anime was dubbed into English. Hopefully it won't be too long for Media Busters to aquire the rights to Dairugger XV. Especially for fans who wish to complete their collection.
Rosie is a realy cute baby.

Ah C.O.P.S.! It's been like forever (okay late '80s) since I last watched that! Ha, I had no idea it had a Region-1 release. Too cool.
So, do you have your King of Beasts: GoLion set yet? Was just wondering ...

If you meant Voltron it's out now, for the orginal GoLion, you'll have to import DVD's if they are avaliable from Japan.
