I've got the same year. These cars are great for acceleration at highway speed you're going 55 to 100 in no time with one of these, instant torque.

yea your v6 might have more hp but can it do 0-60 in 5.7 seconds a top speed of 148-151 MPH. didnt think so but this corvette can, ever heard of torque? its never all about the horses

@OMGazreal you don't understand how to read a dyno graph do you? 200 ft pounds of torque at 6200 rpm in a 4000 pound car will not accelerate faster that something with 370 ft pounds at 2800 in a 3000 pound car.

This one would do about 155 on the top but the shitty cell phone I had at the time (RAZR) wouldn't record any more than this. I've pulled 140 out of my '85 auto - K&N filter and lid, cheap euro mufflers from MAM. Next year, cammed 6.0L & 4L60E, outta scoot.

85 Corvettes are awesome. First year for the reliable TPI but before GM started focusing on all the "creature comforts."

"Only" 230 hp, but 330 lb ft of torque! Give me a flat torque curve over a peaky HP engine any day on the street.

its not bad....im 19 and i own a 94 vette....insurance isnt expensive on these cause usually kids cant afford them to begin with a transam would be way higher if i had one of them....i have full coverage on the vette and a liability on a 95 talon and i only pay 200 a month..not bad if i dont say so myself

this is dsmxtuner95 on my brothers account...like i said not bad at all...my parents have me on there insurance tho and for everyones cars its like 350 a month or something...and they dont know how much it is but i just told them id pay 200 since i was reaping there benifits...i know its not more than 200 cause my dad has a 08 srt-4 on there and that would be the most expensive i would say i woudlnt have to pay more than 125 a month for mine full coverage so thats roughly 1500 a year

I have a Custom Supercharged (10psi) 85 with a 96 body style...Lambo doors...3.07 gears...tru-duals with Magna flow's Totally tricked out tranny...Drilled slotted rotors...89-93 Sport seats...315/35ZR17's rear with 17x11 ZR1 wheels and 17x9.5 & 275/40ZR17's front...etc...etc...I have it insured for $15,000 at $135 a year...Full coverage...0-60 in 3 seconds...Have not yet taken to the track to see what it does in a 1/4...
