@wickedshyn As the biggest horror movie fan ever, I cringed when you said that the number one horror movie theme was the theme to Halloween, but you actualy played the theme to Halloween 2. I will help you out on this as you seem to be a horror movie fan. The theme to the 1978 original release and the 1979 partially edited and 12 minutes of new footage added NBC rerelease did not sound quite like that. The version with the thump, thump, thumps in the theme wasn't until Halloween 2.

I was disappointed not to see Dario Argento's Profondo Rosso (1975) ( aka.Deep Red), a far greater film than Suspiria, which is more of a global commerical 'success'. Bob Clark's Black Christmas (1974) is also fascinating. Psycho (1960) deserves to be at #1. Overall, a good selection.

@KCleary11 um no...exorcist theme is Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield released by Virgin Records (their first album) in 1973 and was selected as the theme for the movie -- the theme for Halloween was written and produced by John Carpenter specifically for his movies in 1978
