This game was my favourite game of all time for about 13 years. Im not certain yet, but I think Xenoblade is...maybe even better? Don't kill me. Xenogears still has the best story of all time, but they seemed to have tidied up Xenoblade nicely. If you loved Xenogears, I think you will love Xenoblade too.

I love how the background music is so foreboding; it really makes you wonder about the story if you haven't yet played.

With a trailer like this, Xenogears should've been the BEST-selling JPRG from Squaresoft, at least for its time!

when i 1st saw this game back in 98...i was iffy if i wanted it. i went ahead and bought it when came out and popped it in the ps1 and was like...this game is badass

12 years later....this game is still badass and i have an original copy ;)

i now play the emulations so i dont ruin the disc

I remember playing the demo and seeing this trailer (yes it is official). It really made the game look awesome. I loved the battle system in Xenogears. Too bad I never played the whole thing, I definitely missed out. Also too bad that Xenosaga just wasn't that great overall.

this game was amazing but dick 2 was frustrating to much talk less action but i liked it cuz i understood wtf was going on xD

i only played this game for 3 weeks now altho graphics was shit (compared to nowadays games)

but it was FUCKING AMAZING

story line 10/10

animation 10/10 (for a ps1 :P )

combat system 20/10 (ya its 20 out of 10 :D )

music (20/10)

i noticed something when u cant change ur party for a long time they auto-lvl to almost ur lvl

I got RPG Maker several years ago but gave up when I saw just how much WORK is involved, and I didn't wanna spend ALL my free time making an RPG that I already knew the story to. Kind of not fun if you know all, although it may be fun to show off to a friend or someone else.

u i got mine from a torrent site as an image and playing it with a simulater

they made a redistribution of it in 2003 and now its selling for 200 $ in amazon (rofl i didnt believe my eyes at first) go check it ur self if u dont believe me

I would watch this trailer over and over and I would play that short demo that came with parasite eve I think all the time before I finally got my hands on this game. One of the few rps I've played more than 5 times.

My Xbox 360 has been sitting idle for the last month while my old Playstation sits on the floor. Im about 35 hours in first playthrough. I really don't know how I missed this awsome game 10 years ago. Too busy playing GT2, and TH2 I guess. Also I thought Zelda was an RPG back then.

I would like to know why at .51 Fei is shown as having 88,888 health in gear form. I have played this game 2x all the way through and Fei's Gear's health caps at 30,800.

the biggest fault when playing an rpg is not to make allot of save games

and if u wanna lvl up room the free world and use the gears to lvl up

if u want an advice

go to Duneman Isle ( u cant use gears there)

and equip the party you want to lvl up with something ( forgot the name but it gives you 50% more exp)

and equip fei with speedshoes and keep using kokei or Yamikei DTB never use elemental DTB from other partys cuz u may heal the dragon (DTB=Deathblows)

dragon will give you 30,000 exp

oh btw and equip one of the partys with trader card so u can get some awesome stuff from the dragon

I played this game, but never got to finish it. I finally found Dreamcast CDI file of Xenogears. Got it. Played it. And the only problem is that i can't save it on my DC. Hahaha.
