this isn't an action movie people, it's a film based on a book (AFAIK), and then the game was an RPG, so I'd think you'd get the idea that the movie wouldn't jump into things straight away. Plus films are shallow & boring if they jump to the main point at the beginning, you're supposed to be waiting for 'it' to happen, that's why films are usually 1hour +

I'm sorry but Mariko Anzai is not Aya's mother. This movie(or the novel) takes place in 1995. Mariko was only 12 years old while Aya was 23 (2 years before the New York Incident). I guess Square decided that Aya's mom would be named Mariko to connect the game to the movie. Mariko Anzai and Mariko Brea are 2 different people.

awesome ive always wanted to watch the movie and im kinda pissed that they just finished telling the guy his wife is brain dead and boom its like hey gimme her organs >.> at the very least let it settle a lil before u assault him. Maybe he would be more understanding in a couple of days/weeks...

Guys this isnt the game this is a novel, as you should have known. The novel talks about the coming of Eve and shit and how things happened. I enjoyed the movie since actually like to read interesting books, which this was one.

I think that eve is actually an organ, and whoever posesses most of some organ, could be anything, like a kidney, gets posessed by eve. That's my theory.

The kiyomi character could have gotten the eve infected organ from someone else, then it spread throughout her system, then the rest goes downhill.

IMO, Eve is like a virus, spreading, destroying everything in it's path until it reaches the goal of total world domination, but cannot do anything without a body.

All movie companies do that. Every book, comic, game, anime or whatever turned into a movie is always only 'based off of', because they can never make it like the original concept. They always change things or only take 'certain' concepts of the original idea. Hence why most movies based off of the things i said above suck...
