top video as always mate:) ive seen this knocking around when im looking through the import stuff and wondered if it was any good, after watching this its now on the list for sure, looks really nice:)
I really liked the first few Virtua Fighters and this looks like another nice fighting game from Sega that i really should add to the collection at some point :)
Well worth picking this up Darren as it has a different feel to it compared to the VF series. It was a very decent conversion of the Model 2 arcade board original also. The JPN version should be cheaper than the PAL. Thanks mate ;-)
Have to agree with you. The first two or three opponents are generally ok but once you get to the fourth onwards the difficulty ramps up I reckon. Fighting Red Eye can be a real pain at times! ;-) Thanks for watching ;-)
Hey man ;-) Yeah, Last Bronx is a really smooth and polished Saturn fighter that's, technically, every bit comparable to Virtua Fighter 2. Its quite an achievement considering the game wasn't developed by Yu Suzuki and his legendary AM2 team. A worthy addition to any Saturn fighting game library for sure! Thanks man ;-)
Priceless :D...! I know what you mean! AMD and R&D were the real deal back in the day when sega kicked ass big time!they made true gems that still hold up even to this day!!
Still,i`de pick this instead of VF! Maybe its cause i had a traumatizing experience with the VF series on the Master System LOL :D!
Sega's AM divisions were really something else. You had the likes of AM2, AM3, AM Annex & then quality studios like Team Andromeda & Sonic Team. Yep, Sega definitely were a force back then ;-) Wow, VF on the Master System! Genuinely never realised there was a VF game on the old MS. Gonna go check out some vids of that ;-) Yeah, things are quiet but good mate. Hope life is treating you good too bud. Good to have you back! ;-)
@TigonVLiger Mate...do your homework...!There was a VF for the SMS and twas dreadfull...!Either that or i went bonkers cause i dreamed bout it :D!Dreadfull thing...!graphics wise...it held up for an 8bit...but the lag...OH DEAR GOD...the lag....!Again,either i`ve gonne mental or i`ve been lobotomized by the experience...!Wait...maybe twas on the MD,,,either way,i know the VF series on a low bit count took away my inocense...LOL!Cheers mate and don`t be a stranger :D!
Hey Toops ;-) Same here, used to play this quite a bit on the Saturn when it came out. I think the game did quite well in Japanese arcades but largely went unnoticed in the West. I always thought it showcased the Saturn's 3D capabilities quite well particularly in the character models. Was great revisiting this one so dust off your copy when you get a chance! ;-) Take care mate ;-)
a cool game this is, one of the better 3D fighters on the system, i still prefer the 2D ones but this i have to admit is a cool fighter. Whoops the ass of virtual fighter IMO.
Agreed mate, really like the style and gameplay in Last Bronx. Aside from some irritating little graphical glitches it really does look quite nice for its age. Its got some pretty cool character designs too. Thanks man ;-)
Hey Karen ;-) Sorry to hear your Saturn is playing up. As much as I love the console I'm not too well up when it comes to mods/repairs. Perhaps post a vid showing the problem. I'm sure somebody, including myself, could give some advice. Last Bronx is well worth getting if you see it cheap. Take care ;-)
Great choice of game, i own the pal version of this and play it now and again, a great alternative to the virtua fighter series and more proof that the saturn could produce solid 3d visuals, nice crisp graphics and good gameplay with plenty of depth, the ps2 also got a port of this game in japan as part of the sega ages brand.
As always mate another very good and enjoyable vid, Top stuff, Dal.
Hey Dal ;-) Not doing too bad & yourself? Last Bronx was one of those Saturn games I played to death back in the late 90s. I think the Saturn pulled off a really nice port of the arcade original &, like you rightly say, it was a very decent alternative to Virtua Fighter 2 and Fighters Megamix. Just one of many Sega arcade games that I'd love to see arcade perfect versions of on XBLA/PSN. Thanks as ever for your support bud ;-)
this is a classic i love playing this from time to time the blonde woman always reminds me of tina armstrong great video description to
