wen u think about it its amazing that the trick was first shown and made up by a magician called selbbit or something like that in the 1920's i think. i've seen this trick go wrong once or twice, wen the woman inside the box got stuck in one of the sections :o everthing about the trick went wrong for the magician coz the woman was his wife and it wasn't a saw it was a chainsaw. quite a dangerous trick actually.

They have to practice this stuff a lot. Most tricks, though illusions, are very dangerous and if not executed right could actually kill somebody. Like with this, if not for her slipping her feet out, she would be dead. Magicians really do have to work on it. I think it should be considered beautiful, becuase I find the more I know, the more I am fascinated.

@theprankster1234 most magic tricks are actually pretty simple and often very obvious. the problem is that we just dont seem to think the obvious. sometimes the answer is very complex but even so, is obvious if we let ourselves believe that they would go through that much trouble for a trick. the simplest answers are usually correct. sometimes the simple answer can be complex in practice though. but its far less complex than what is being suggested to happen.

@nakkadu listen @ 2:15 he ex[plains what you saw (no pun intended). This is done to demonstrate what you see, the ones you see on tv are done with professional assistants that are also usually contortionists so that can bend and move in the small space. The principal is the same.

The dumb thing about a lot of his so-called exposed secrets is that NOBODY does those versions of those illusions, including this bizarro version of a sawing. He exposed virtually nothing. They made some of these things up just so they could "expose" them.

@guitaristador this is the original saw a woman in half. also the guy didn't do this to expose modern magicians, he did it to get people interested in preforming magic. people are going to lose interest in learning it pretty fast if no one will teach them. Also, I've seen people preform this version of the saw a lady in half as well.
