so, to those who hates this product so much, how do your pets like nail clippers? every single clip scares my puppy and most of the time the length of nails are just different because it's hard to clip again on the same nail without cutting the quick. spending time to rest him assure that this spinning wheel wont hurt his quick, my puppy goes along quite well with pedipaw

I use a normal nail file for my westie.. As he's quite young still, it seems to work just fine.. He doesn't complain at all..

I bought one of these for my bichons. First of all, I needed a partner to pin the dog down, since the noise alone terrified him, and 20 minutes of consoling didn't work. So had to be restrained, and then we moved the thing to his paw and lightly TOUCHED it to one claw, just to get him used to the sensation. I have never, ever, EVER seen a dog as batshit TERRIFIED of anything as my dog was of that contact. He broke free, ran around with his tail between his legs, barking at it.

So.... yeah, lol.

umm your not using it right, also your finger isn't a nail of course it would hurt you. your dogs likely cried cause you used it wrong. Dog breeders and handlers have been using dremels on their dogs for many many years, this is just the same thing only build for pet owners use. I just can't believe you stuck your finger in it! lol

We just bought this, maybe we haven't gotten the "hang" of it yet... It sucks the nail up when it touches it. Pretty much a waste of 20 bucks.. If anything this has scared our dogs more then it's helped them because of their nails getting caught up in the grinder.

If you don't have enough control over your animal to use the clippers you're not going to have enough to control over them to use this or any other grinder. I use a craftsman 4.8 volt cordless rotary tool on low and it works like a charm.

You can't see it here, but you can on TV. I am SERIOUSLY surprised that the producers of this commercial didn't catch the little white dog's "lipstick" sticking out! I'd pull that commercial if it were me!
